I have a question about cue action.I know the cue has to go through straight, not only sideways but also not rocking up or down either.I have watched a lot of shots played by the pros and their upper arm and elbow actually drops when delivering the cue in order to make it go through straight. Is this something I need to consciously practise,or is the straight delivery more to do with the grip changing.Maybe show a clip from the side and back

Whenever, I try to achieve position on a color ball, after playing the red. At most times I achieve it. I continue my break with two or three reds & colored balls alternatively. But, the problem for me is when I try to pot the big valued balls. I can confidently pot three reds & three small valued balls with good confidence, but whenever I try to play a black, pink or blue. I miss horribly. I've been playing since 5 months. I’ve started playing in July of this year. How do I change my attitude?
@neilmaxman hi neil i was just in a tournament the other day and i got really frustrated with my self and didnt play well, can you give me any tips about that
It's also good practicing on the pink and black because the reds always seem easier to pot for me.I get a bit nervous on the other colours but i'm still new to snooker.
Hi there Neil, this way of practicing looks helpful and its interesting the way it challenges you to do better,i'll have to give it a try, thanks for the advice!!
ps.when it bobbled the second time you didn't look happy lol...
excuse me neil i have a question to ask you why is it that in line up and practice i can hit 30's 40's even 80's 90's in solo practice however when i play a game i can never play the same can you explain to me a pre shot routine and how i should go about before during and after the shot how i should keep my head still how to stroke the ball and any other useful tips which would help me jst private message me please neil thanks

This was helpful, I've often tried this with all or most of the reds, but this is a more effective way of practicing, just with a handful of reds and two colours. You make it look easy! Thom
Hello Neil. I've watched all of your videos from 1 - 20 in the last hour. Really good stuff. I'm gonna watch them all! Thanks for taking the time to make all these videos. I am looking to take my game to the next level as I've recently joined a club snooker team, and all of these videos will help me do that now. I can't wait to get on a table and try some of these techniques.
this clip was done several months ago ......before i did the clip YOU requested pro tips 47.......the fact i miss in this clip .......actually works because it allows me to explain how the practice works when players trying this, miss themselves........i could do all the clips so that i'm perfect and never miss........so i apologise for not being perfect and missing a few pots ........however all my clips are correct .......so thank you for continuing to watch my clips trevor and commenting neil
@clevertrevor01 why even bother commenting... You obviously have no interest in learning or listening, if you know what your doing so much, why are you even searching for help with snooker. lol retard.
You seem to know your way around a table but can you advise how to sight the shot if right handed and left eyed as i seem to sight and stand in the position as if i was a left handed player?
This is very frustrating as i cue across the ball from right to left constantly striking the ball with extreme left hand side without knowing it ?
hey neil, i dont mean 2 keep bugging you but i was wondering if u cud get back 2 me on my precious messages on : cueing, chin on cue & aiming i wud be very grateful thx mate
Hi Neil, I would like to see you post a video of you making a 147 in line-up, using 5 reds below the black. Making sure that you do not collide with any other reds during the process. This would be very interesting to see. Maybe you have seen my contribution? We await your response
thank you mate good videos and gonna try this next time :)

I can't believe you think you are all that !
when you can't even hold a simple a position between two colours & only 4 reds... it took you 3 attempts to pot them !
TRULY PITIFUL.
