Inflation - as defined by the MSM is not rising prices on the result of inflation witch is the increase of the money supply. Increasing the money supply does not have a 1 to 1 effect on prices it's more of an exponential curve that blows off.

All of that is not important, what is important is my ability to take care of myself and my family based on my ability to comprehend what going on and take the right action. If you feel you can do that with paper money, good luck.

Sure there is a way to print metal. It's called Tungsten Gold. Who really knows how much is now on the market. In my opinion, Silver is more valuable than Gold because of the Tungsten factor. Wages do go up with inflation, but the problem is over time you go into a new tax threshold therefore you are paying more tax per dollar made. Wages don't keep up with inflation but do go up when inflation kicks in.

Yes! Silver bars and coins make much better gifts than socks and CDs and gadgets. Imagine if all the money spent on transient gifts that depreciate in value were to be spent on PMs...it boggles the mind.
