How powerful it is to me that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us so much that's He's blessed us with families here on this earth, but above that, has blessed us with a way to be with them through all eternity because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I encourage all members of all faiths to share this powerful message with others, that is, that families can be together forever.
No Offense, like at all but i need to ask out of my own ignorance to this religon, you know, besides what i'ev seen on the media. Do you( by you i mean Mormons) still believe in Polygomy?
Being a christian i use to dislike the mormons because i was simply jeolous but when i got babtised i understood what being a mormon truly is, & i know that my family will be together forever thank you elder thompson & reeves i am truly grateful.
I am not mormon, but I watch the Shaytards who I think are amazing examples of what it means to be Mormon. My family doesn't believe in God, so there is no sense of an eternal family so my family members are mean to each other and do nasty things and never apologize or treat each other fairly. I want to take the idea of an eternal family and raise my kids to believe that. Thanks to the Shaytards for sharing that lesson youtube - Shaytards. <3
The first thing that came to my mind while reading the comments was Moroni 10: 3-4. I don't know why, but something just tells me that this scripture needed to be shared. Mormons are the greatest people I have ever met. We posses a spirit of love and peace that keeps them bound together as a family. Most would say we are weird, but to us that means that we are simply, "In the Earth but not of it". I hope someday to go on a mission, marry in the temple, and return to my Heavenly Father. I am LDS!
As a member of the Church I see all the good things we have here on Earth and the Church really help us to be more close to Jesus Christ. The Church is doing good to everyone here on earth.
My family recently moved to Australia, from America. I didn't want to leave, because my cousin who I love with all my heart got in a serious car wreck before we left, and is now in a coma. Before we left for Australia, my family had a family reunion/farwell for my family. I knew at that time it was my last time seeing Hannah. I was really sad the entire time, I simply didn't want to leave. And then we sang this song..and I cried, I remembered that it's okay. Because I will be with Hannah forever.
I love this. I am mormon, and yet i am young, i know that families can be together FOREVER. i love my family so much. im only 11 and i know that my family is there for me at all times, and i know that i will be with them forever.
@a41alltheway1 Me too, I am also LDS and 11 :) I can't wait to be able to be able to baptism's for the dead, it's Sunday today and I am having a friend come to church who said she want's to be closer to god, me friend and I have been giving her mini lessons with my parents to teach her all about the church. :)

I´m too the only member of the church. And I attend to it every time I can because its worth it. There is nothing that the world can offer that is as important and valuable as the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I encourage you to go every time, and read scriptures every time and pray always.
im the only active member in my family and im 17 :/ my mom converted with me, but never gained a testimony and simply believes in god and nothing else. my dads and brother are athiest, and they are both putting it in their will that they refuse to be baptized when they die since they just hate organized religion and think im crazy. im sure heavenly father will understand when we are all in the next life though and he will keep us together if i stay as valiant as i strive to be now :)
Hi there. I just want to encourage you in continue to attend church. I am the only active member in my family as well so i know what you are going through.
...this song.. ;( eh.. my story is very long and complicated... but.. my parents split when i was 7.. my dad still tried to take my sister and i to church.. people treated us different cause my mom and dad were divorced... i remember being in primary and they decided to play this song.. i had to leave and go to the bathroom cause i was crying so badly.. after a few months my dad stopped taking my sister and i to church. i know am 13.. and i made the choice to go to church, just my sister and i..
@iluvmusic2300 You're not the only one. I can't sing this either, or I Am a Child of God. I also have to skip Mother's and Father's day. My teen years were made ever harder by the constant lessons of marriage/ dating/ chastity from people who didn't understand. Know that these songs teach the ideal, and are not there to hurt you. They teach the goal. It will be hard, and it will hurt, but the gospel is worth it. Christ understands you, and he is there for you. Don't ever turn your back on Him.
This song is one of my favorites. My dad is not a member so my family hasn't been sealed in the temple, but when I leave for college in a couple of weeks, I'm giving him a Book of Mormon. I'd love it very much to have my family be forever, and when I get married in the temple, I want him to be able to come in with me.
i am a Mormon I know i am so blessed to be , and I am going to on mission too soon , but my family Relationship are broken But I know to myself that we Love each Other and will go to Temple when they come home and go to church togethere like we used before :)
@davidwalkerrrrrr Of course not! Despite what many people believe, the LDS church teaches that everyone Loves One Another. We are taught to respect everyone no matter what race, religion, or sexuality. Even though we are commanded to live a life with extremely high standards (in more ways than one) we still love those who choose not to. My aunt was excommunicated from the church for being gay. She still lives among the church and still feels loved.
@davidwalkerrrrrr ...I am a convert to the Mormon faith. My mother was gay. I have a child who understands same sex attraction. No, I do not hate gays. Mormons who are true to the principles of God's teaching do not hate anyone. It is not always an easy journey to learn to love those who are not like us. It is why we are here. Sometimes the greatest lesson is learning to love ourselves, gay or straight. :)
@davidwalkerrrrrr Of course not! Despite what many people think, gays are accepted in Mormon society. Sometimes better than they are in society in general! We are taught to love one everyone no matter how they live their lives. That's why you never hear Mormons judge other religions like so many others do.

@MorMon4Life1981 If an LDS father earns the celestial kingdom, his daughter is admitted to the terrestrial, his son the telestial, his wife outer darkness, will at least some live happily together or will they all be separated?
I seek understanding why there is such emphasis by LDS on families together forever as though this is the exclusive right of LDS. I believe my family whose spirits are sealed to Christ in salvation shall all be joyfully together as family through endless ages.
@Shulamitefire good question, from my knowledge If you are in the celestial kingdom, you can go to the lower degrees of kingdoms to visit your family.. However if you are not in the Celestial you cannot visit anyone in any other kingdoms.. that is a blessing that only those in the Celestial glory have.. The Celestial have 3 glories/degrees, the highest glory is where you can be exactly like our heavenly father, you can have children like he has etc.. Someone correct me If im wrong
My family has been split up in a divorce. My brother and sister who i am sealed to are seperated from me and I can't see them. But I am sealed to them and they are still my family. This song makes me cry. I want my family to be together forever.
@DarkAngel7717 Our Father in Heaven is a kind ,loving, Gentle and fair Judge. He not only Judge us upon the lives that we live (good or not), but the Circumstaces we are placed in as well. Remember when you grow and become married yourself, not only will you have your Brother and Sister, but a family of your own if you so choose to. The Lord works it all out in the End. Be comforted and trust in Him. He will not Fail you... :)
What a beautiful blessing it is to know that we can be together forever through the gospel. I love my family. i love the gospel i really pray that everyone will open their heart to the truth of the gospel.
I am a part time service missionary working with brothers and sisters who are addicted to behaviors as well as chemical substances. I have seen the devastation that addiction can bring into a life of a person as well as the family. I testify that I have witnessed first hand that thru the atonement of Jesus Christ miracles still happen today .
Your testimonies touch the depths of my heart. Who doesn't want to be with their family forever. How grateful I am for the Church of Jesus Christ established back on the Earth. I wouldn't be where I am today without it. Jesus Christ lives. Heavenly Father loves all his children. Someday we'll all live back in his presence and become like he is, that we may be like he is. That is love. I know this to be true. I'll die for this gospel and all we testify to be true.
@thankucomeagain723 Talk to any missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ and they will show you how. Feel free to visit any Mormon chapels as well.
@thankucomeagain723 Take the lessons from the missionaries. If you need help contacting the ones close to you, go to mormon.org, they are able to send missionaries to your address if you so choose, if you feel the spirit, which isn't really an if as much as a when in my opinion, then they will ask you if you wish to be baptized and you will be considered a member of the church.
I bet this thought has already been shared--but Christ taught us to judge them by their fruits (see Matthew 7). There's nothing evil or sinister that I feel here. This is good, this is true.

isn't it true what they say that being mormon is being happy. I dont have a family of my own yet. but I'm so looking forward to share my life with them through all eternity ;)
One month before my first wedding anniversary with my husband, our first baby was stillborn. In our devastation and tragedy, we reflected on how grateful we were to have made the effort to marry in the temple for eternity. I never would have guessed on that day that I would have NEEDED "eternity" before we'd even been married a year. I am so grateful for this principle and the peace it brings to my life. (we've since had 2 more healthy babies and one on the way)
Fall 2010 our family was blessed to welcome a new baby girl. Close to a week later we lost her 5-year-old sister to cancer. Our family continues to find hope and joy because we know that our family can be together forever.
@wiabinte You should, it will blow your mind. Everything you think you know...man, I can't even explain it. The best thing I learned/live is something you will hear from our Church time and time again: "Don't believe us. Pray. Ask God to confirm what you have heard." Trust me, it happens and it is crazy intense.
The best thing about the lessons is that their is no commitment. If you want to stop, you simply stop. But, I don't think you'll want to : )
@wiabinte First, thank you for what you said. If you do listen to the missionaries, I can promise you that you will not be disappointed. The LDS Church is true. We follow Jesus Christ as best we can. If I can help in any way, please don't hesitate to let me know.
@wiabinte I also strongly encourage you in that. I really hope you are still thinking about taking the lessons. I hope you've followed through from when you wrote that.
Let us know if you need help contacting the missionaries.
@wiabinte My dear wiabinte the Gospel of Christ it's open to all of us, it bring great joy to my life. I hope that you could find that for yourself. I love my God, my Savior, my church and my family, most blessed I can;t be, Good luck on your endevours! :)
@wiabinte Honestly...If I could recommend something to my best friend that is of greater value to him or her and it will come to affect his life to raise it to the very top ... I would recommend to listen to the Elders and follow their advice, because if it does ... it's a stairway to heaven, where God himself dwells.

@wiabinte Honestly...If I could recommend something to my best friend that is of greater value to him or her and it will come to affect his life to raise it to the very top ... I would recommend to listen to the Elders and follow their advice, because if it does ... it's a stairway to heaven, where God himself dwells.
