it's so sad! 2 breath taking buildings and they are gone forever! really, imagine what is was like at the time of this commercial. people back then never thought that would happen! the "top of the world" was 25 floors higher than the Empire State Building! the freedom tower makes the sadness worse since it shows that terrorism won by permanently altering our skyline! if there were no attacks, the towers would still be here! rebuilding them shows that we can restore what was lost and we won!

@Margui622 the port authority also sadly trashed all plans for a new windows on the world and an outdoor observation deck on the freedom tower. they said "these things are money-losers. it rather should be used for office space." well, there saying this because the freedom tower is just a single tower and how odd-looking it is. if they just rebuilt the twin towers, the other tower would make up for that office space. plus, the freedom tower is only 104 floors while the twin towers were 110

My parents ate dinner at Windows on the World when they were dating, about 10 years after the World Trade Center opened. My mom still has a pack of matches that have the "Windows on the World" logo on them...I never got a chance to visit them myself, but I get a pang in my heart whenever I see those twin towers in older movies like "Working Girl," "Manhattan," "Marathon Man," etc. I've never seen so many people wasted so very badly...may they all rest in peace.

I was twice on the observation deck - second time i visited the towers on a beautiful august morning and proposed to my wife 'on top of the world'. One year and a month later the towers came down - for the two of us it's an emotional place. Of course the real tragedy lies in all those people that died that day and the loved ones they left behind.

At the filming of this commerial, the main antenna had not yet been installed... it looks odd, but the commercial was filmed prior to the installation of the huge antenna we know of... remember, this was a promotional commercial to get people to come visit the world trade center, so i believe at that time, they were still only using the antenna atop the empire state building to broadcast tv stations
