LDV-5 2 stroke lego diesel model engine

Awesome work! It's really inspiring. I want to build a pneumatic motor too, for a scale model car. The only problem I have is how to get good air pressure... I don't want to use a big external air compressor to be able to run it..

It's not a 2 stroke it's a 2cylinder Vtwin 2stokes only have 1 piston

@legobuildable Nope thats weedeater engines. You can have a V12 2-stroke diesel.

It would sound a whole lot different if you counter-balanced the crankshaft. It would probably sound smoother. On the flip side, it would add more rotating weight to the motor. It sounds real, actually sounds like a bigger engine than it is. Has a little V-8 rumble to it.

the piston passing along the cylinder walls makes a clacking noise. Found it out accidentally so I take advantage of it

yea the valve will be free after a bit of rearrangement. it will be on soon just gotta make the valve train. if you want i will post instructions aswell.

Nice engine and sound!5/5 i always wanted to build a vee engine but the config was difficult so i couldn't. i am building a four valve single cylinder engine at the mo which will have working valves that will flow air so if you want to see it tell me then i wil upload it. nice work keep it up.
