Personally, I think the vibration does add to the feel of the game. As to whether you should get the keypad, it really depends on how often you type...

Well I would go with the keypad, if you to A LOT. But even if I would get it just for quick messages and HOME. You should get the Dual Shock 3 now and get the keypad a little later.

Yeah, with the inclusion of the mechanisms for the vibration, it definitely adds to the weight over the original SixAxis controller. As to what camera I use to record the video, I'm using the Panasonic NV-GS200 3CCD DV video camera...

Yup... Dualshock 3 is basically a SixAxis controller, with vibration built in.  Everything else remains unchanged, including the motion sensor...

I can't exactly state how long each charge will last with Rumble on, cause it varies greatly with how much the game will cause it to vibrate. But you'll definitely have to charge it more frequently if it Rumbles most of the time...

Nope. When I got my PS3, which is the 60GB version, the Dualshock 3 wasn't even heard of...

You definitely have to subscribe to a service provider first to have internet. And yes, the PS3 has a built in browser, so assuming you'll be sharing with your current internet access via a router, simply connect the PS3 to it and you're good to go...

I guess you can. The browser running on the PS3 seems as capable as any browser you're using on your PC. You can even watch YouTube videos with the PS3's browser...

Hi aljay17, thanks for the compliments. Personally, I'd get the 80GB version because it has additional hardware features compared to the 40GB one. Things like having 4 USB ports instead of 2 and also memory card slots on the 80GB does make things more convenient should you have photos/files to transfer from a memory card...

No you won't need it. All PS3 save games are saved in the built in hard disk drive. But I'm not sure for PS2 titles played on the PS3 though...

I just picked one of these up tonight in Tokyo. I'm trevelling in Japan so it was perfect timing to get one of these for use back in the states. I didn't see Call of Duty 4 on your list of supported titles, but I have heard it does work on that game. Can you confirm?

Dualshock 3 works in Call of Duty 4, but note that there will NOT be any vibration. As far as I know, there haven't been any news on any update for the game to support vibration though...

If you were to check out my review for Call of Duty 4, it's mentioned in the video. Anyway, the game doesn't support vibration, for now. Hopefully Infinity Ward will release a patch to support it, maybe not, we'll have to wait and see...

Although I don't own a PS2, I've played PS2 games at my friend's place in the past and I dare say the vibration strength of DS3 is actually comparable to DS2, probably even surpassing it...
