I knew from the start that I wanted to focus only until the points of CP9, that way, it will fit with the structure of the actual endings, since ending 18 took place during CP9, ending 19 would obviously take place around the same point in the story.

@xBleachBankaix I'm not too sure. I think that Toei must have felt that they gained a huge audience and people most likely wanted to see more content in the episodes, so they got rid of endings so that there would be more episode run time, but this is just speculation.

@xBleachBankaix Hmm. TV Japan gives a 3 minutes for OP & ED for each series. That's the reason why almost every anime has an OP & ED with duration 1:30. But One Piece has now actually OPs with duration 2:30. I dunno wheres the other 0:30 but maybe it's for preview =D Dunno.

@xBleachBankaix It was for more time for the openings. That's why now they have 2 minutes and a half instead of the 1min50s that were used until the 8th opening
