The Wizard was sick I loved how he opened up the show using the wizard of Oz soundbite. I was soooo pissed when the radio station 93.1 FM in Detroit changed their genre to lite rock I was like WTF???
@PowrSurge I feel you on that i used keep a cassette tape ready for the wiz on wdrq back in the day,and then he went to fm 98 which didnt last long either, but Jeff Mills is still doin his thing overseas, you can find him on YT doin sum of his live mixes at the clubs overseas.
"Funkbox" by The Masterdon Comittee on Enjoy records, it was also sampled in Public Enemy's song "Buck Whylin" ...We even got, Sir Mix Alot, MC Lyte, That's right, she could win a rhyme fight
Im from Detroit,we had a DJ here by the name of The Wizard Jeff Mills who i believe resides in the UK now that is by far one of the best Djs on the planet!

who made this early 80's track "I said uggh 999 999!" Master P remade the song in 1998. Who was the artist and title of that track from the 80's?

I remember The Wizard...he was tight
I'm trying to find the name of two records he use to put in the mix and one Mojo use to play
1 was take time...they were rappin' about Eddie Murphy and there was a guy who sounded like Buckwheat.
2 was a record where the guys were saying"make it ring momma..do yo thang...come on come on"
3 was a record called Inspector Gadget...the group had a girl rappin' at the end of it and they were in a junk yard.
Thanks for your help in advance...peace!
