  • what the fuck is that?

  • Wow! What an interesting looking revolver. I like it.

  • Thanks for the info. Traditionally revolvers seem more prone to being made with sharp edges than autoloaders. But even if an edge isn't "melted" it should at least be what is referred to as "broken." So that there is no chance of scrapes or cuts when operating a pistol in a normal manner. Sounds like Chiappa is saving a few bucks by not having someone with a file or stone go around and break all the sharp edges left by the CNC machining. Or run the parts through a deburring vibrator.

  • The under barrel design allows the kick to go into the palm instead of over the top of your hand. It makes it easier to use in rapid fire but it sure is a bit ugly. I also do not like the release latch design. However, I can see potential. Like you said: smooth out the edges and improve the fit and finish. I'd like to fire one to failure and see how close it gets to the 100,000 rounds put through my father's S&W K38 Masterpiece.

  • cool gun, I like the unique as well

  • You all need Jesus!

  • They need to work an integral laser into this gun above the barrel

  • I wanna shoot one of these so bad. These guns are really interesting to me and I think they look so badass.

  • Looks comfy

  • Great job! I must have one of these. You are 100% right aboiut how it feels in the hand. I love the stylinng, too. Thanks.

  • the gun which killed lincon

  • @lmfaodudeable I think you mean a Deringer this is not a deringer

  • the 4 inch one looks nicer.

  • in italian "chiappa" means buttock LOL

  • It kinda looks like the Halo pistol (albeit a revolver).

  • The trigger on these things is horrible! It's also horrendously ugly and the price tag is prohibitive. I can see where the recoil would be dampened, but it will press into your hand and take its toll. It's a nice concept, but these guns all look like they're pre-production models. I'd buy one for two hundred bucks.

  • Nice gun, but do you know "chiappa" in italian means butt? LOL

  • Fun gun

  • ......dats cool

  • i like the 400ds model

  • @stk931 40ds model sorry

  • You did a great first-time ! Great speaking voice. I am glad you pointed out about all the sharp edging with framing. Downfall.

I think the flat hex sides make it better for total legal conceal n carry.

I am not impressed with the cutting into the metal from poor design. I do not want to have to baby the thing and take extra steps to avoid cuts and wears from drooping. I like the open site line. Are you going to make videos actually shooting the guns ?

    Thanks again !

  • I got mine for 675.00 cash out the door! its a pocket beast!

  • Excellent review. I was lucky enough to pick one up today. Mine is a Rhino 200DS. On the Chiappa websight they show it as a Rhino 20DS. Any idea what these different numbers might indicate? Has there been a design upgrade?

  • @KimberTrace I've wondered the same thing myself. I just checked their website and all the specs are the same for the 200DS and the 20DS. There is supposed to be a double action-only variation, but I think that has a different model number.

What piqued my interest especially is that in the revised manual included with my new 40DS (I made a video about it), they list model numbers for Rhinos chambered in 40S&W! I've never been into that cartridge but I will have to get one of those Rhinos!

  • @LifeSizePotato You need a bible, not a gun.

  • @DoubleAssClown lol "Take this thief!!!" throws bible and hits guy in nose*

  • @KimberTrace

I think that DS means it is both double & single action; D that it is double action only.

  • It's my next gun, something me and my wife can shoot, thanks bro

  • How's that rhino working out for you so far

  • @MrBigdeexl I've had it almost 8 months now and it's been great. I'd say I've put a total of 1500 rounds through it without a single hitch. I even shot a couple cylinders full of super hot Buffalo Bore 357s without issue. I'm so happy with it that the second I see one of the longer-barreled chrome ones, I'm going to pick one up. I'll probably end up with 3 or 4 of these guns in different variations.

  • Excellent review! This gun would seem to be in the "carry" category. Weight and other dimensions would be relevant. The design is absolutely genius. Welcome to South Texas.

  • Okay doesn't it make a lot more sense to instead of making it DA with a lever than cocks it internally into SA to just change it into a revolver with DA/SA capability by making the hammer directly stick out like all other revolvers?

  • @TheAKOmnicide I was looking into one at the shop the other day and that's just the thing there is no hammer. it isn't like the S&W bodyguard with an internal hammer it is a striker fired revolver. I didn't get to shoot one just handle it and I loved it. I was in the market for a snub nose ad after about 30 seconds the rhino made it to the top of my list. my main concern with smaller pistols is the size of my hands. I can only get 2 fingers on most 380s My only issue is the $800 price tag.

  • Thank you so very much, you answered questions I would not have thought of. I especially liked your comment:: " I just like walking around carrying it" Thanks again

  • Great review bud!

  • Aww its cute...and deadly...

  • The channel GunWebsites has a cutaway of this firearm. Shows the internal workings of the gun.

  • I Like it too... Great design for sure....Chiappa, thinking outside the box... I like that too.

  • Excellent review@!

  • Overall I love the design and I imagine the later generations will address the trigger pull and the cylinder hitting the frame. Even Glock had to have their infamous "upgrade" of 1992 where the internal bits had to be replaced to more corrosion resistant parts. I figure buy the time I've found a new job and have the money to burn Chiappa will have the kinks worked out.

Good first review on your part, congrats on your gun purchase too.

  • Awesome, awesome review! You had mentioned you owned other firearms; based off of the quality of your first review, I'd love to see you review the rest of your collection. As for the Rhino review itself...this is a weapon I've been really interested in, and until now there just hasn't been much info out there on it. Very nicely done, sir.

  • Incredibly thorough review. Thanks.

  • Great detailed video. Awesome for a first one. Thanks for the effort. Very informative.

Thinking of for a second ccw choice :)

  • Great Video.. Thanks

  • Looks sick, can't wait for long barrel stainless version to come out though.

  • good video lots of pros and cons i wonder if that cylinder bashing the frame has to do with the overall build quality of the gun.....

  • @viciousquirlslayer To be honest, I think the build quality overall is pretty high. It's just a nit-picky design quirk that it scrapes a little.

  • sweet.you should make more videos

  • Good work, thanks for putting this material out there for those of us who don't have the chance to see this in person. Well done.

  • I'm not a frequent shooter but I can say that I really don't like that trigger. Its intention of use seams incorrect to me. Otherwise it seams like a great gun.

  • You should do more videos. Sounds like you have some cool guns and you seem to really know your stuff.

  • Excellent video. I hope to see more great videos from you!

  • Cool gun.how much did it cost you? been look for a revolver for my gf and i like the way it handles recoil. aslo great job on your first gun vid .
