I got this double CD by A and A the week it came out used for 9 dollars. Ive tried to like it but just cant make it thru the album. WHFS 97-5 Baltimore played this tonite on the fresh baked show. thought it give it another listen...i realized its not the music, or the lyrics, its just that i have a hard time taking a guy who used to make goofy childish and immature songs seriously. what i like about this album is tom wasn't trying to impress a whole bunch of people he was doing it for himself and the fans who have stayed loyal from the beginning, not complaining about how ava sounds so different from blink. This is love 2, this sounds exactly like love 1, it is the sound he wanted to make a sound that is so different, pushing rock to its limits, making ava more than a band. And he has.

In all honesty, Anxiety got me excited for this album. Really excited, then Neighborhoods just added to that excitement because it was a glimpse of how Tom was going to continue making music. So far from what I've heard this isn't that great. Just a let-down compared to Neighborhoods and Anxiety. It makes me happy though because it means he's focused on Blink and writing music for Blink. He definitely used his best new material in Neighborhoods. LOVE pt 1 was fucking brilliant. This, eh.
