@philbrick5 The code was the hardest part for me as well. I started REALLY basic. Incredibly basic. Read that "Starting with Arduino" book. Super easy read. I also spent some time in the Arduino Forums messing around with other peoples code. Its fun to learn. Good luck.
&Gensocouger im gonna have to side with the yank on this one although i agree with you that those kids could use those chairs the goverment should give them full working ones rather than broken ones
@unaclocker quit being a bitch!!!!!! You are probably from the U.S. and think that violence is the only solution. This project will probably be coming to a city near you with a real gun on it shooting innocent people! You are probably the same daft wanker that is throwing mines into villages for children to mame themselves with....bloody yank! I dislike anyone who watches these violent videos on youtube to satisfy their need for violence! Warmonger!
you should be ashamed of yourself!!!! There are children around the world who have stepped on landmines and need this chair, and you make a toy out of it. Be ashamed good sir, be ashamed!
@Genscocougar Get bent. These wheelchair bases are tossed in the garbage by the truck load all the time in the US. You can thank lawyers and lawsuits for that problem. Repurposing used devices that are deemed no longer safe to put a person on is what I call recycling.
@fellowsjeff The round PCB was originally in the base of the joystick. Power came from the chair to the joystick base where it first connected to the round PCB you seen in the video. Then to the actual joystick. I relocated it due to space issues in the joystick base. Then just ran a Cat-5 cable from the black box to the joystick base for 5volts, ground, X and Y axis. This made wiring the whole thing a little easier.
That is so cool!

Did you have any experience writing code? So far thats been my biggest issue with my project is learning how to write and implement code.
