I just realized that today is the anniversary of her death and I'm sitting here watching this.....how strange. Thank you for posting this. It was a true testiment of the good the Princess did.

the standard was lowered and replaced by the Banner of the Queen Mother, as she wasn´t the Sovereign the Royal Standard couldn´t fly for her (as the sucessor on the throne was Queen Elisabeth)

It only displays the presence of the Monarch and his titles (Banner of England,Scotland and Northern Ireland),nothing else

It's heartwarming to see how when walking under the arch both sons get encouraged by their father and their grandfather before coming out at the other end. My heart went out to them then and goes out to them now.

it never occured,not for the Monarch noir for another member of the Royal Family neither any citizen .

Altough I think this is strange somehow it's acceptable ,for the standard/banner only represents the presence of the Monarch and as an English Flag expert told me ,there's always somebody on the throne ,it's never vacant,the sucessor is immediately in office.

Last time ,when the King died they lowered his Flag and the Standard of the Queen Mother was flown over Buckingham Palace
