3. i don't really maintain the same hair length, but there's lots of different stuff you can do depending on length. and different wax for appropriate lengths.
well u're lucky cuz from what i understand there aren't products for black(african decent) type hair which is usually very coarse and curly and i was told most japanese salons don't know how to deal with my kind of hair and are very expensive. so i would have to come to japan with my products and manage my hair on my own or cut it all off and walk around japan with a fade. so sux to be me!
How expensive are the products there, and is it very common to see these type of hair styles, or having peoples hair styled in general? In Canada not a lot of asian people style their hair with gatsby and such.
@AsianSoStyled what do they use? In America I used whatever was cheap because I had no money. It's not so expensive, less than $10 a can I think... but I buy it so rarely that I don't really remember. Stuff in Korea is cheap. I saw the same FaceTime store in Taiwan last fall and the wax there was $15-20, for the same product.
@superscheu By "not a lot of asian people style their hair with gatsby and such" I didn't mean that they don't use gatsby, but that they don't style their hair quite as often. So I was just wondering if there is a lot of people who style their hair in Japan.
@AsianSoStyled I would say that the majority of men style their hair in Japan and Korea. It's just something we do. In Japan it seems to depend on age and marital status/kids. If you are around my age or younger it's normal, if you have kids or are older then less of the men bother with it.

@jaydenim007 that's 3 things.
1. curls take too much time to do for me
2. my hair is naturally straight
3. i don't really maintain the same hair length, but there's lots of different stuff you can do depending on length. and different wax for appropriate lengths.
