  • needs a cross brace-- something side to side inside the frame in front ( your steering box - frame- body mount moves side to side) when you turned side to side,, watch your vid,, nice truck,,

  • @johnvineyard67 Yeppers i have be trying to decide were to mount a set up. Everyone is tell me that it is happening cuz my ram is not working im thinking it just cuz of the spring are super flexy, but alot of guys do this with front flexy spring. Only prolem is it will take away from travel dont know how much but im willing to find out. It more side to side and inch from the steering pushing side to side. I can also just go full ram instead of assisted. hmmmm.... lol

  • @dbzgt545 I had an 88 blazer,, and it did pretty much the same thing,, looked at it closely and the factory cross braces ( rivited) and were moving a little where they connected to the frame,, I ended up welding all cross members to the frame, then welded a 2x3 tube just in front of them inside the channel frame- one side to the other, ,, problem solved,, (it worked), frame couldnt twist,,

  • @johnvineyard67 for sure buddy, i wanna take out the factory revits also and install and new crossmember custom one like you said. I already got a few revit that are lose and been watching them lol.

  • @dbzgt545

What you need is a panhard bar.

  • @Tboninator Most diff buddy, i just gotta figure out wear to fit it lol. =0)

  • @5:19 that's a gr8 look bro I can't wait to do my long travel leaf springs, keep them comin an if u have a chance check my videos out...

  • @ALWAYSIN2SOMTHING When you do the spring swap i would recomend going 52" spring up front and 56" out back. I ran 56 front and rear and doing the 56" was a bit to much, A 52" swap is alot simpler to work with.

  • real nice thumbs up

  • I totally understand your frustrations. Spending all that time, money, sweat, blood and tears and she breaks... I've learned, after having many many modified vehicles, that the minute you start to mess with the stock vehicle and add high performance mods.... Expect high performance maintenance! Lol! It's part of the hobby! It can make or brake you! I hope you don't let these bricks in the walls slow you down or quit. Visa versa! Wish me luck and I wish you luck bro!

  • @chrishufstetler Havn't given up, just trying to get stuff together like a new tanny and transfer case with a doubler. Also gonna be doing a diy4x dash soon and some Tube Doors. Gonna be Rockin man i just gotta be patient and do it one at a time. =0) Wish i had the cash to just go buy it all at once.

  • Your videos and work inspired me to use almost all diy4x suspension parts. Also I'm doing a 63" stock rear spring, 56" stock spring in front. D60 arb and 14bolt arb. 4.56 with 37" tires. Work in progress but all parts are finally in! M1009 1984 k5.

  • you dont understand how bad i want this truck. one day mine will be like this. but you got a badass truck and i cant wait to see more videos of it

  • @chevyscottsdale83 Thanks you bro, it has takin som time to get to this point, and still have more i wanna do diff more vids are coming, and some more real rock crawling vids, been on the back burner.

Will have some new videos soon.

  • cool truck! we have an 82 modified chevy blazer that is converted into a truck. we have fun hillclimbing with it on our channel zowiedom.

  • thats thing is freaken sweet mann! it flexes like a build builder bro!

  • @951prerunner THANKS HOMIE, hopefully i can get the tranny goin good so i can wheel it a trees july 4th weeked. Really wanna test it out man this is baby stuff for me =0)~ yeahhh buddy. can't wait that for the LOVE BRO.

  • sweet rig man, works good might do alittle better if you can fix those lazy shackles in the front tho. keep that camera rollin great videos!

  • @adammotox What do you mean by lazy shackle's, i am going to be shorting them to about 5.5 inch they are 7.25 right now. Got them long for more down drop but the spring flex like crazy on there own being 56" springs and all. Never heard the expression lazy shackles, gotta tell me what ya talking about lol.

  • @adammotox ahhhh i looked it up bro lol. That lazy shackle is what i want for rock crawling my angle right now is 45 degrees which is a desiered postion for up flex and down drop , it lose the spring rate but im not worried about that i want flexing and good axle movement whitch im getting from my shackle angle and springs. =0)

I do think i will shorten them tho bro.7.25" seems to long and thinking of 5.5 or 6"

  • @210VIDEOTV Work in progess but im happy were it at right now bro. Got more goodies coming during the year and more install and wheelin videos.

  • Flexy truck bro. Ever had any problems with those front end lift- blocks?

  • @xnihpseht Hey bro thanks on the comment. So up front i have a set called a ez-inch also known as a zero rate. They area block that bolt to the leaf spring back that allow you raise your truck a inch without adding any spring rate. They also have two off centers holes one 1" and 1.5" to offset you axle forward or backward 1" or 1.5". Check out my vid Called DIY4X EZ-INCH INSTALL. Keep on rockin buddy.

  • HELL YES MAN!!! dude loved the flexin at the end man great job im glad that part is working good for u.... stoked u got to take it out crushin for once.... sorry to hear about the torque converter startin to go i blew mine up in a blazer i had once and it in turn blew my whole tranny...lookin forward to the nxt crusher vid.... ps how are the fish doin? tc man later

  • @DrHavok1 Thanks bro, Crusher will be 100% soon, and the fish im down to TWO. They keep freakin jumpin out tha back so i gotta make a screen for it man. I have one white and one black, gonna leave it like that, freakin sucks tho they are getting huge i gotta make a video. =0)

  • Sweet video bro an nice flex I want to go with long leaf on my blazer to but don't know what to go with...any info can help I want crazy flex an softer ride

  • @ALWAYSIN2SOMTHING The spring i have are 56" spring front and rear, most people use 52" up front, wich is the stock rear spring moved up front. If you wana smoth flexy ride, stay with stock springs. And do a shackle flip out back, check out Diy4x.com, And the b52 kit, you can find stock spring for like 20 bucks and junk yards. Doing this set up takes knocking out stock revets and bolting in. This set up is not great on the street but great for trail rig. If you want to stay on the street. use

  • @ALWAYSIN2SOMTHING The tuff country springs they have the lowest spring rate out of all the company and flex like crazy buddy, you will love them and are a direct bolt in no cuting just unbolting and bolting. Good LUCK.

  • sweet truck brow! im gonna check out that website yee haw!

  • @motorider145 Thanks man, i still got alot more work ahead but i am super happy were im at so far. Takes forever man wish i had the money to just finish it all up already. Thanks a ton for the comment bro. KEEP ON ROCKIN.

  • how much of a shackle drop doo u have in the back?

  • @4x4zz Out back i only have a 2.4 ORD SHACKLE FLIP and DIY4X UDSR shackle that is 6" long, with a two inch block. For around a 5" lift or so. Plus triped fenders. =0)

  • @dbzgt545 dude thats a nice setup im workin on a k5 makingit a muddin truck.

  • Just so you know, if the hydraulic assist was working properly, the chassis will not move so exaggerated in relation to the axle like it is now. A panhard/ track bar will only be covering up a problem being caused by a malfunctioning hydraulic assist.

  • @chickomenon Had a few buddys tell me that it would help when i put it on. The ram is working pretty damn good, i can turn it with my finger and never had problems with it before. Only thing now is that im running 56" spring up front, Most people run 52"s. Also i think it would help to put some really nice new urathan bushing in the springs, the ones in there are factory. The ram is for steering assist not keeping the truck from moving side to side, but i do understand how it does help.

  • @chickomenon ps. also gonna try and change the pump out for a better one, see if the ram can get more pressure work even better. im just using a stock pump right now that not modified, Which is working but may be able to improve it. I'll give that a shot and leet ya know. Cool man thanks for the comment buddy. =0)

  • NIIIIICE!! Glad to see that baby back in action! 5:17 was unbelievable! :D

  • @rekjavicxxx Hell yeah, but i was super sad i didn't get to wheel it forreal. That flex look pretty good and i know theres alot more in there . Can't wait to find some crazy rock and flex it out. =0)

  • Hey man, Pretty sweet rig. I think its cool you are doing the work yourself and as upgrades are needed. Iv been followin your crusher build.Just a question, im not knockin your rig any cuz its better than mine but why are you running lift blocks on the front axle?

  • @Mr390cid Cool man thanks for the comment bro, Well they are not lift blocks, they are 1 inch zero rates fromt diy4x. com. They bolt to the leaf spring pack like a spring but dont add to the spring rate, just give you that one inch lift. The main reasion i used them is not to get a inch is that you can relocate your axle one inch forward or a 1.5, OR you can do the same thing just move it back 1 inch or 1.5. They are very usefull when you doo front spring swaps and wanna move your axle.

  • @dbzgt545 Ah, i see to center the axle onto the spring(equal between eyes) and i see you can also move your spring foreward or back with the adjustable front perches.I guess i should give some info on my rig.1993 club cab long box dodge with 60/14ff and 38" tsl tires. Im keeping mine street legal and drivable. Have you looked at the 52" rear dodge springs to use in the front? Equal length between eyes and 2.5 inches wide same as chevy. I almost used chevy springs but didnt like the unequal leng

  • @Mr390cid nope never looked at dodge springs, i really wanted some great flex so used the 56's front and rear, i still haven't flexed them all the way out yet. plus i liked them being spring not being centenred cuz you can move them forward by fliping them around. Worked out really great for me. =0)

  • Pretty sweet rig man. Been followin your crusher build. Awesome that you are doing the work yourself and learning too. Just a question though, im not kockin your rig any cuz its better than mine, but why are you using lift blocks on your front axle?

  • Awesomeness!!! That is one bad ass truck.

Can't wait to get my truck back, it's in the shop as of right now getting a front dyna 60 straight axle conversion, a dyna 80 rear axle swap, all king shock 2.5 with coil overs and triple bypass. I'll be riding on 40's now.

  • big dirty

  • Yea but i think they are easy to convert, my 700r4 was pretty easy

  • now dats a truck

  • @rubypuppy7 Thanks homie.

  • what inch tires do you have and thats a sweet truck

  • @MrMacktruck123 they are 39.5 tsl grooved, but are old and worn out. Gonna be going with 42's or 44 next year. pit bull rockers or southern grooved TSL's =0) thanks for the comment buddy. ROCK ON.

  • @dbzgt545 i'll take the 39.5's off your hands.

  • @kx519 lol, gotta fight my uncle for them man. =0)

  • @dbzgt545 i'll give you a th400. Its out of an RV

  • @kx519 hmmm... 2WD tho right.

  • arent you going to have to un bolt alot of shit if you want to change the front diff fluid?

  • @Adrian00702 Yeppers with the ram off you can still get to every bolt on the cover and fill it with fluid. =0)

  • Bad ass man!!

  • @wrt7 Looks kick ass with the doors and top off huh. Planning on leaving it like that .

  • man that is a nice K5. what gears, t-case, lockers?

  • @xjon37s TH350 NP208, LINCOLN LOCKER BACK SPOOLED FRONT, AND 5.13 GEAR, AND A SET OF DRIVE FLANGES UP FRONT.

what i really want is th400 doubler, and a air locker up front.

  • @dbzgt545 Man just swap to a detroit up front. Less stuff to worry about and steering will be 100X easier. And no ARB (all ready Broken) to run air lines to. On a full size a detroit is fine. If you were building a buggy and needed cut brakes ect or had a short wheelbase jeep. ARB is a good option.

  • @greenjeep92 Yeppers i was thinking that it cheaper just to get loocking hubs and a detriot up front and out back, Right now the rear is welded and im just happy with that. I would have to reset the gears sinch it has a spool up front but no biggie i can do it at the shop. Crusher is coming along man, but i wanna really wheel it already bro, im gettin fustrated with this new stuff.
