that's because all 4v cams have to be degreed. 99% of the mechanics who install 4v cams do not degree them because it is a royal pain in the ass or they just don't know any better. they just install them because they assume that the cam specs are perfect. . I can tell you there isnt one 4v after market cam shaft that's perfect. they are always off 3-6 degrees either way.

@mustang4sho haha thanks. 03-04 verts were about 3,780lbs. Mine has almost 300lbs removed from it though. Lightweight fixed back seats, solid axle swap, AC delete, mini battery, much lighter full exhaust, and some other small weigh reduction.

usually don't go for convertibles, but this is definitely an exception. this thing is perfect. i've been looking for a good cobra for a while, preferably an orange one like yours, but they're few and far between.  when i do see one, they're usually asking 10K more than others colors that have already been lightly modded.

i read on an SVT forum that the comp S2 cams rob power. some guy with a 2.4 Whipple Cobra said before cams he ran 500+whp and with cam he ran 455whp. could someone confirm or deny the power loss?

@VivaLaNick335 if you have too much duration on the exhaust side you can lose boost, this may be the reason you've heard of power loss associated with cams. With more airflow coming out of the motor you need more air going in, pulley/blower swap may be needed for certain cams. On a side note this car is beautiful and sounds great! The one thing I dislike about Cobras is the idle but obviously that's not an issue here!

Were not narrow minded, and all of mustang fans know there are indeed some 4-bangers that could whoop us. But at the same time, a skinny kid always beats a fat kid in a foot race...which one is louder and more intimidating. V8 and large liter ALWAYS sounds better regardless of place in a race and most of the time all we have to do is park and idle and you know were here :) You can watch with awe as the skinny kid passes....but you feel it and shake when the fat kid blows by. :)
