When it comes to enforcing the first amendment, I do agree that the government should not legislate in ways which restrict the exercise of free speech. But at the same time, the government should also do nothing to restrict the exercise of conscience. We have the right to offend, and that's a good thing, but we also have the right to protest offense and have our grievances addressed. This democratic republic was designed to be a two-way street, to be give and take, and it must stay that way.

Well maybe you boys are too young to remember the Hustler edition that was banned from Canada because it featured dead women hung on meat hooks from trees. That's porn, and it's disgusting. No one who cares about the dignity and safety of women can possibly defend shit like that. In Canada, porn is defined as anything that promotes harm and/or hatred towards an identifiable, vulnerable group. Flynt is the the worst of the porn lords and he is disgusting.

Whether or not a few women participate "willingly" or not in the porn industry, the fact is that the sort of porn churned out by Flynt degrades women in general. For one thing, it encourages porn addicted men to perceive women in ways that are destructive, cruel, ignorant and boorish. Perhaps some of you overheated little boys don't have daughters, sisters, wives, mothers, female friends, and choose not to see porn as the hateful shit it is.

TBH when I first saw this guy I didn't know who the hell he was, I thought he looked like a stereotypical southern conservative republican. But wow as I kept watching this video I kept getting surprised. I guess that's a lesson for me to never judge a book by its cover : )
