how do you find the 5 speed gearbox? Could it do with a 6th? Sounds a bit noisy??

@Charger3091 Virtually all diesel engines use a turbocharger about 97%, iv actually never seen a diesel that wasn't turbo, except on an 80s vw rabbit

everytime i see this car on american web pages or w/e they say they get 25mpg highway, except in the uk this is supposed to get 33 mpg extra-urban(highway)

I always got 23-24 MPG with mostly highway driving long trips.

there is a difference between american and imperial gallons so it isn't uncommon to see different figures

It's not just the American and imperial gallon that's makes the difference... It's the CRAPPY fuel that is avalible in the U.S. Did you know that the PREMIUM fuel in the U.S. is only 91 ron?! The standard being 89 ron... The premium fuel in the U.K is 99 Ron and the standard being 95 ron... Go figure.

Better quality fuel = better economy (and performance.) Is america, 99 ron is considered racing fuel. :D

@W140S600AMG oh well i knew they had different octanes but didnt know that actually affected economy! i wouldnt like to know what the jeep grand cherokee srt8 gets in the USA, as its 17.5 mpg in the UK which is fairly horrific.
