@TheWindGypsi I had pancreatitis.... #1 the Dr will tell you its from excessive drink or gall stones. you wont even be able to type on your computer key board if its your pancreas ( well I wasnt)
cheers for that......anyhow!!! i am scheduled for another ERCP on Jan 12...not looking forward to it...diet for me is what my body craves these days...and have to watch cream, fatty foods...yes...and many other things....the Drs were the ones that actually sed diet had nothing to do with it...i disaggreed,as u do..I dont drink or eat much red meet...eat lots of fruit..sometimes i cant eat at all with a bad episode,so thanx...but i think they have it under hand now..take care
@ Sog...what are u talking about...who has lost their ever loving mind...Hope its not me your referring to m8....I also know what im talking about because surgeons have found a tumour in my bile duct and will be remving it very soon. I suffer terrible CP and get bouts of AP..this surgeon that told me about diet and how it had nothing to do with it was very wrong....I have been appointed to another Dr completley...imcompetence i believe its called...and down right stupid. I no wot im talkn about
Pancreatitis NOT caused by a poor diet by rather aggravated by it. A high fat diet with pancreatitis causes profound pain. The typical cause is alchol abuse and gallstones.
thanks for that...i have CP..and had an ERCP a few months ago,but had an attack before the surgery, the surgeon said he gave me pancreatitis, and the ERCP was not finished,so he didnt get into my pancreas. I have dilation in my pancreatic head and in my cbd. I was dx with CP 2 years ago and i suffer constant pain and nausea, i went to a surgeon the other day and asked to see a dietician and he told me that CP has nothing to do with diet, he also told me, there is nothing he can do for me at all
@kiwigal63 i have the beginning stages of chronic pancreatitis and i have been in for numerous ERCPs and stenting and having those done does cause Acute attacks i know first hand however i would not go so far as to say diet has "nothing to do with pancreatitis" i have seen many different specialists all who have slightly diffrent ideas about it however food does make a difference. a huge one. Fatty foods, red meat, alcohol. it is different for everyone however if i were you i would begin
Just yesterday the area where my pancrease is, starting to get some dull pain, more uncomfortable then anything. And i just have the feeling its got something to do with my diet. Thanks for the help
well, i, hardly ever drank throughout my life, and ive never had gallstones

@JessiKkaTye 2/2 to keep a journal on what you eat. and although changing your diet will never cure it it still may help with the pain.
