i got a question. when the robot gets artificial intelligence, how will it know what a mad face looks like? for instance, when the robot gets mad(theoretically speaking) how will it know what face to give us? in the beginning did human beings learn the facial expression of anger or did it come naturally? i heard when we give a smile, endorphins are release, making us feel better, how will that work with a robot? cause it cant feel
@JUKIO01 It's been taught the different facial expressions through mimicking. Read the paper called "Robot’s Play: Interactive Games with Sociable Machines" for more in depth information about the methods used in teaching e.g. Leo. (I'm just working on a thesis about the subject and read it). I can't say where humans learnt it though, but I guess for robots it could be given some sort of strive for "digital endorphins" through some root level programming. Not sure..
This is brilliant! I love the little elevator muzak interlude.
It seems Leonardo is cast as a malevolent tyrant, spouting rhetoric as he brandishes an OLPC prototype, and the lesser masses of the ML rise to overthrow him in a surprise coup. Rife with symbolism, no? Or perhaps I am reading too much into it.
That was pretty cool, and funny also. Good Job on the stop animation. I would have tried to make your dolls try to walk also, but it seemed like you wanted them to look more like dolls. Over all, I think it was really good, and if you didn't want to be an engineer you could probably be an Animator instead.
Fantastic! =)
Please make more.

If this is why they aren't making anymore videos of Leo. I'm officially pissed off, lol... That robot was pretty damn cute.

This is fantastic! How long did it take to accomplish so much stop motion filming/photography. The music choice is perfect.
