  • Is "closed capturing" what Americans call SUBTITLES?

  • I was thinking of getting att but idk. How is the Internet speed? Do you ever lag while playing ur xbox online? I have a ps3 and some ppl lag and throw off the whole game. And is it true that u have to live close to that att box in order to get the speed? Also, does att offer Japanese animation channels?

  • europe was the first they had sky tv on xbox years ago

  • AT&T only? Telus in Canada was actually the first.

  • @iSquishy89 Sorry, I didn't know Telus was first because I'm not current on Canadian technological advancements. Let's just say first in America. My apologies for the confusion.

  • I agree with what few people have been saying about ATT UVerse... The fact is that purchasing a remote that is $99 and then paying a bill of more than $100 is for the birds. Why spend more money getting Uverse on the Xbox? Why watch Uverse on the Xbox and not the reciever they offer you? You would watch Xbox a lot more and then it will eventually burn out and give you the red ring of death. Once that happens you are out of luck. ATT will not reimburse your money.

  • Xbox as STB has been a disaster for me. In less than 2 months we have had 12 truck rolls for freezing problems on the TV conected to STBs and the DVR. I personally isolated the fault to the Xbox set-up (RG-Splitter-coax-Moto HPNA Adapter-ethernet to Xbox) and could only solve freezing on the other tvs by unplugging from the entire Xbox set-up from the network. Last truck after my isolation could not fix it, I am asking for a refund on the $99 Xbox fee

  • So if you have the main DVR with AT&T U-Vurse does it coast extra a month to hook this up to your xbox 360??

  • @BlakeW27 No, the XBOX setup with U-Verse is free. So if you have an XBOX already, DO NOT ask for an extra receiver, cause it would be a waist of money.

  • @gumby2440

no, but you still have to pay the $99 setup fee, which is equivalent to about 2 years of receiver fees

  • @SilentStryk07 not in Illinois here its = to about 14 months of paying the receiver fees

  • uverse is the most unreliable tv service ever invented.

  • csn you pause live tv?

  • Looks really cool. No U-Verse in my area, however I will patiently wait until this is also available for FiOS TV, which also uses Microsoft's IPTV protocol as it's backbone.

  • Thanks man. I'm supposed to get it soon. I'll try to remember to come back here and let you know if I figure out a way. Usually it is from quick launch, the last tab on the left and it should be alphabetical.

  • If you are playing a game, can you use the Xbox guide's quick launch feature to fire it up?

  • @lifeandall there might be a way but i haven't figured it out yet. i always launch from the dashboard pane as shown.

  • I can already tell you there isn't a monthly charge for having this as an additional receiver, says so on the website. What I want to know is did you have a "professional" install the u-verse app and if so what did they have to do? I don't mind paying $99 for the software and remote (that I already have) but I don't want to pay another $55 for some dingaling to come to my house to put the CD in, install and then leave. What was really required by the "professional"?

  • @stunod7 i install things all the time to prevent disc wear, but this was more than that. he couldn't get a signal at first and had to tinker with it for half an hour. but that could have had something to do with i was the first customer in this whole area to get it. he had an adapter between the wall and the xbox, but he got rid of that and it worked. he was supposed to let me keep CD and instructions, but it's literally the only one that this branch has. so he kept it to take back with him.

  • @stunod7 once installed, it has a big configuration process, which i'm pretty sure they HAVE to do themselves. i don't think there is an option for them to let you do it, even if you could. also, i'm pretty sure that all same-day-as-install service as far as the guy being there is FREE.

  • there is nothing free at at&t, they will bill the shit out of you, you have to have a coax cable or ethernet ran from the rg to the xbox which they will bill you at least $55 for and the xbox hpna reciever and remote is $100. One big question though, why the hell would use your equipment to power their service? if your xbox takes a dump on you because its on all the time att will not replace it but if you use a set top box and it goes bad they will replace that.

  • @VansForever Did you have to run any wires anywhere or drill holes anywhere? I live in a rental home and am interested in getting this service but don't want any damage to the house I live in, I doubt the landlord would say yes if there was

  • @stunod7 they also have to run either a cat5 or coax cable from the rg to the xbox, but it's not worth it. uverse sucks ass dont waste your time or money on it. i work for them and its the most mismanaged place i have ever had to work. thanks god my time spent there will be short lived,

  • Did you have to pay any monthly extra to use the xbox as a receiver?

  • @MARKMARCELO please answear
