  • cant wait for these guys to play at epic ventura!!!!

  • Don't whisper the WORD! YELL IT OUT LOUD!!!! RRRRAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!

  • isn't this sad? about 29,000 views....isn't this world screwed up? Bieber gets millions of views and he sucks....that's just wrong. thumbs up if you agree (or if you think Bieber stinks)

  • my favorite screamo band 2 thumbs up =]

  • @TheGUITARoverLORD It's not screamo my fellow man.

  • this band always blows me away!

  • I first saw this band when I was 16. I just turned 28 today. I have probably been to about 10 LS shows and they just don't ever sound anything short of amazing. I got to see them with Lutikriss (norma jean), Haste the Day when they were pretty much just a local Indianapolis band, Zao, War of Ages, and tons of others. These guys are amazing all the way around.

  • @Kaidus99 Holy shit you remember ludikriss!!!! They were awesome back then... not really in to norma jean... had a chance to open up for ludikriss, embodyment, and LS, back in the day.

  • @emaculate They were awesome back then haha, I don't care for Norma Jean either. They used to be so intense it was ridiculous. That would be epic to say you opened for those guys, what band did you play in?

  • Lamb of God much? At least this song...

  • @timmy8678 These guys have been doing this before Lamb of God was even a band.

  • To those that have gotten to see living sacrifice live in recent years- one question.

Do they ever play any of their old material live that DJ sung on? This is a hard band to catch live for many reasons... tours and whatnot always seem scarce. Just would be awesome to see Bruce singing the title track of inhabit anyway and lance blasting away on Departure...

Signed- one fan since the Inhabit album and still have the original print of it. Infinte order Shreds. Well done! Cheers!

  • @blackhawkfan54

    YEAH WHAT HE SAID!

  • Fuck Christian, fuck atheist, fuck scientologist, these guys just kick ass.

  • i remember seeing them back about 8 years ago. Unbelievable live.

  • Who says followers of Christ and bands that follow him are not brutal? This is so brutal that it defines the definition of brutality!

  • I know its a little "off color"...but these guys have been kickin Satan's ASS for years....

    Incredible Christian metal band...

  • yay i got me daily dose of melodic christian metalcore today :}

  • This has got to be one of the most under-rated bands ever, I swear....when I heard about these guys, and listened to them, I thought they were bigger than Demon Hunter. wat a shocker...

  • two words...fucking epic

  • so true PattyCat... got a live clip of this song up from last nite........

  • I just Freaking love Groove Metal, great NWOAHM Band

  • @MetalMIlitiaCrusade its not its Christian metal

  • @vincent112233445566 Yes, because that's totally an actual genre.(raspberry) "Christian Metal" is one of those retarded ass blanket terms for any band, ANY, that plays Metal music or something that sounds remotely similar to Metal music and have Christian Lyrics. To be fair, Living Sacrifice is Like Chimaira. They never put out the same album twice. Their first album was Thrash Metal, the second was Thrash/Death, the third Death Metal. Blah blah blah.

  • @vincent112233445566 yes they are

  • @vincent112233445566 im talking about the style of metal not their lyrical content

  • :/ ....

  • i agree these should get more recognition but hey, wen ur in a christian band, god's approval comes first and no one elses really matters. the fact that theyve been around as long as they have is a testament to them doing SOMETHING right

  • Slayer!!!!!

  • i want to punch a hole in a wall now! this band gets me so pumped!

  • Gayest band ever listened too. Listen to some whitechapel

  • @Somethinmart hahahahahahahahaha youre a douche

  • @tamatownskater reborn empowered a classic and must for all heavy metal fans. Every song is great!

  • @sifugonzo why are you telling me this?

  • @Somethinmart WhiteChapel is garbage.pig sqeal gutterals,open C palm muting&crappy quality breakdowns.Not hard,not talent.That's actually just noises,like,when your parents tell you metal ain't music,well,their right in the case of JFAC&WC.

  • @MetalEvangelion777 For one, that wasn't even me. Two, Whitechapel doesn't squeal. Three, They don't do that many breakdowns. Four,They're in A.

  • I see Rocky from Evanescence is back with the reunion

  • damn 20 years and no respect! the biz is bullshit

  • Though their not as organic or primitive,or european sounding, these guys remind me of behemoth just a little(I don't encourage my fellow Christians to listen to behemoth, they are LITERALLY out for the destruction of Christianity, don't tithe to lucifer by buying their albums,I had ONE&destroyed it a week latter, felt it was greiving the Holy Spirit).I just got infinite order yesterday-AMAZING...but these guys need to re-record all their old albums cuz the quality sucks.THIS album tho is fantastic.

  • @MetalEvangelion777 Well put...there's a lot of great music out there, no need to buy Behemoth or Mayhem albums. I don't care how skilled they are as musicians.

  • @jdallman6 You can choose not to listen to Behemoth, but I'm sorry these guys have nothing on them, or Morbid Angel, or Nile, or many other Death Metal bands. Do I agree with the content of Behemoth's lyrics? No, but that doesn't mean I won't listen to them. Metal music is a release of energy, whether the lyrics deal with Christ or the anti-Christ. It doesn't change what I believe in either way, so why should it matter?

  • @MetalheadJC926 I understand totally, I agree that they're talented. What do you expect? If you believe the Bible, Satan led worship before the fall. And I still listen to secular music, but Behemoth is just a little too extreme for me.

  • @jdallman6 Are you trying to imply that people listening to Behemoth is the reason for the general decline of Christianity in society? What's that line about the Bible supposed to mean?

  • @MetalheadJC926 No, I'm not trying to imply anything at all, except bands like Behemoth are notoriously extreme in their views, I'm not sure which line in the Bible you're referring to, but I will tell you that the Bible says bad company corrupts good morals. If we are Christians, we should look a little different than the world. Again, i still like quite a bit of secular music, however, if something in the lyrics effects my conscience, I tune out.

  • @jdallman6 Different than the world? I'm not sure if you pay a lot of attention to what's mainstream in this country, but it's definitely not Behemoth. There are plenty of Christians who don't listen to Behemoth and barely care about how they live their lives as it is. If something affects your conscience, why would you just walk away from it? Wouldn't you want to learn about it? I think that's an attitude shared by people who are afraid of something. Take creationists, for example.

  • @MetalheadJC926 "The World" is a pretty broad term that can mean a lot of different things. Worldly views and attitudes, such as denying God, are contrary to what Christianity is about. To look at this world, and not see a Supreme Being behind it is absurd to me. Believe me, I do not fear Satanic bands. If something disagrees with my conscience, then I must know something about it. Ignorance of something causes me to investigate, knowing it's wrong causes me to walk away.

  • @jdallman6 Fair enough, well said. I still remain saying, the world of metal wouldn't be what it is today without Behemoth :)

  • @MetalheadJC926 No doubt! Most of those bands are very talented.

  • @jdallman6 But "Christian metal"has mainly become a genre of bands that all sound the same. It's all hardcore, screamo,or post hardcore, with indie mixed in.nasaly vocals, shout screaming&open drop c palm muting,&crappy breakdowns. It's all this Victor&Facedown records dry, boring, redundant deathcore hardcore counding crap.Sad excuses for musicianship.Like why am I seeing The Chariot next to LIVING SACRIFICE on the video window? They're a circus act.Noiscore.nothing more musically.ABR,DH,BTA,LS,r good

  • @MetalEvangelion777 I agree, they all sound like UnderOath...though I do think there is some good stuff out there, a lot of the bands do tend to blend. But that's really true about secular music too, especially thrash and death metal, where everyone kinda sounds like Slayer or Morbid Angel, only not as good.

  • I'm mad it took me so long to hear about these guys...they are sick! Way better than a lot of the secular death metal. I still listen to a lot of secular music, and christian or not, if it isn't good, it isn't good, these guys just peeled my face all the way off, though.

  • I love Christian metal (As i Lay dying, becoming the archetype, war of ages etc)

and this band is new to me and i was wondering if their any good / what are their best songs

  • Comment removed

  • @bryanfuel im telling u right now Bruce Fitzhugh is a beast. Theyre new to me too, and from what i kno so far, yeah. hes amazing. (nice choice of bands btw :D)

  • @bryanfuel do u listen to August Burns Red or For Today cause if u don't they are amazing Christian Metal bands!

  • yo big up to these guys from a soldier big shout outs!

  • ew best band ever..

  • its a shame that a band like living sacrifice doesn't get the credit they deserve just because they have a christian theme. what a shame that such a good band that breaks the cycle of repetative same sounding bands thats been around for 20 years goes so unnoticed and pre-judged.

  • These guys don't get any 'credit' because they blow. Seriously, this album just sounds like a rip-off of Throwdown's Vendetta. And that album was particularly original to begin with.

  • @raghraghragh1 Seriously?? if you think this video sounds like Throwdown's Vendetta then you seriously have CRAP for taste in music. And to call Vendetta "an original album"? Have you never heard of a band called Pantera?? Throwdown IS A RIP-Off band. Wow...thanks for proving you don't know crap about metal, douche

  • @touchdown76 Hahahahah. Actually, when I was comparing Living Sacrifice to Throwdown's Vendetta, I did so because both bands sound tired and unoriginal. Sorry I actually mistyped 'was' instead of 'wasn't'.

Pantera is a great band (one of my favourites) and I wouldn't compare this Living Sacrifice crap to them.

  • i don't like this band but have respect ffor him!!! he believes in GOD and gives his worship........thas why i am happy with this band... and ye pray for him:)

  • seen them live twice. i pretty much dont like the radio. but i do agree with the cat, below. that they need more 'credit' and 'respect.' maybe i should pray about that.

  • In between Albums I really miss these guys! They ROCK!

  • did a rough edit of this song get used for the vid? Lance has a double-bass pedal slip at 33 seconds that isn't on the cd, and overall the drums sound like an alternate take from the final edit... what gives, solid state? otherwise this song is totally badass.

  • BRUCE IS THE MAN!

  • @Freedomcall82 Dont forget all the rest man.

  • they...are...always...amazing :)

  • man it's so weird seein rock jammin on the guitar instead tearin the drums up, but it's a AWESOME weird cuz that dude SHREDS.

  • Even Ryan Clark and Jonathan Dunn (Demon Hunter) look up to these guys as Christian music pioneers. Before Living Sacrifice, the heaviest thing around was DC Talk. haha

  • Ummm, in the late 80's there was Vengeance Rising, The Crucified, and several other bands. Most were considered more of crossover thrash bands than pure metal bands. The Crucified was a local band and started out as a punk band (sounded like minor threat). Unfortunately, the recordings don't really do them much justice and their lyrics were a little too preachy and vocals just so-so. They opened for GBH, DRI, and Pantera when those bands came to town. Search for Crucified-Mindbender

  • @markmooserock Try Tourniquet.

  • @andrewmassacre1 A DOGS BREAKFEAST

  • @fartingcow5 a delicious song!

  • @markmooserock i thought living sacrifrice was founded in the early or mid eighties, while Dc talk late nineties....dont matter tho, living sacrifice is a great band..plan to take my kids to see L.S. in Little Rock, Ar. this Sept.

  • @markmooserock im glad someone else knows whats up.

  • @markmooserock not exactly true. First real christian metal band was probably Stryper. They were hair metal nonetheless, but still heavier than DC Talk lol

  • ask for "in the shadow" ........... hee hee

  • patty.... what?

  • lol they destroy awsome christian metal.... whats better? nada

  • living sacrifice one of the first pioneers of metalcore. freaking amazing. always has been and always will be the best christian metal band to ever exist.

  • living sacrife never gets the recognition they deserve in the heavy metal scene because they put forth as a preachy heavy metal christian band - wich is gay cause they are freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • they have pretty good guitar riffs, but I never liked the sound of their old vocals from the hammering process and before. Now they sound much better.

  • Yeah- 2 of the guys in LS, are/were in a band called Soul Embraced. Theyhave 3 albums. Theyare really good.

  • Yep Rocky Gray is the fucking man!

  • Personally, i dont like the audio mix, at all. All i hear are vocals... . The song seems awesome but i cant get past the vocals. I really dont like his style either. Im trying to learn the song but i cant hear the guitars...

  • sick

  • sick

  • I have been listening to them since their first album. I remember seeing them in concert at what used to be the Red Lion hotel in Austin, Tx. with Mortification back in '92. In my opinion they have ALWAYS been progressive in their music and have kept a distinct balance between keeping their faith and getting their music out into the mainstream as best they can. Keep up the good work L.S. Badass song!

  • I was blown away by them when I saw them in concert with Demon Hunter during the Stronger Than Hell Tour. They sound better live than they do on CD.

  • \m/ ††† \m/

  • Is that rocky gray from evanescence?!?!?!?!?!?

  • Yes it is. He played with them on the Open Door album while Living Sacrifice were seperated.

  • @lilAlFredo24 Yup. I think he was the guitarist for LS long before Evanescence. He also plays guitar for a band called Soul Embraced.

  • And to say that Christian Core is lame is just ignorant. There's hardly a difference anymore between Christian and non Christian! That includes lyrics too! LS is one of the few bands that still presents their firm stance of faith in their songs

  • What's up with all the haters? Geez! You don't have to listen to them if you don't want. Just remember one thing: the only reason extreme Christian music even exists is because of this band. There was a small handful of others as well, but when bands like Demon hunter express their deep respect for them you should probably take note...

  • Christian Core is so lame.

  • @RSchmittyNJ1 IF YOU LIKE CONTROVERSY AND PISSING PEOPLE OFF STOP GOING TO CHRISTIAN METAL VIDS AND GO TO THE STUPID MOTHER FUCKING SCIENTOLOGIST!!!!! THERE BELIEVE IS THE STUPIDEST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD.

  • oh, they will get tons credit and respect until the whole world here them.

  • Every comment on this page is 100% correct. Living Sacrifice was the first ever metal band of any kind that I listened to when I was a kid...needless to say they set a high standard. 20 years of experience really shows, but even when i was back in 8th grade they still rocked. I'm actually an entrepreneur who has a passion for this kind of music. I'm currently building up a substantially large income for myself so I can help musicians like this get the recognition they deserve.

  • the only band that impresses me on the solidstate label

  • @ibanezsam4 yeah! u forgot becoming the archetype however

  • AUGUST BURNS RED DOESN'T IMPRESS YOU!?!?!!?! go get a new pair of ears please.

  • personal taste, their song structure makes me cringe, the singer plasters the song full of "rant" style lyrics not allowing the musicians to breathe, not enough bass in the mix giving a decidedly lack of sonic umph, the drumming lacks a groove and leaves a large space in the front of the mix empty (also why there's no bass). and their last album was 70% the same beat.. that frustrated me

  • @ibanezsam4 if you listen to the songs flatline, raject, breathing murder, in christ, and power of god and tell me the drummer is missing a groove, i wont know what groove is. with all respect.

  • believe me i've heard them all. it's purely personal taste, all i hear is snare rolls and zero ghosting. and even if it weren't for the groove, note the many other reasons i can't listen. just dont get me started on Oh! Sleeper

  • nice!!!

  • it's sad they have been around twenty years , and do not get the credit or respect that they deserve

  • very true i talked about them to a metalhead who said name a band and he's heard of them and i mentioned these guys and he said I havent heard of them.

  • @pattycat100567

They will with their latest album

  • @pattycat100567 definitely. Their music is great, not to mention they are one of the first christian death metal bands.

  • @pattycat100567 Amen to that. They were doing what many secular metal bands are just starting to do.

  • @pattycat100567 I saw them live almost 10 years ago knowing they wouldn't be together much longer. I didn't even know they got back together until recently.

  • @bendtx Was it at a Little Rock show? If so I was there:]

  • @pattycat100567 Fort Worth Texas i believe

  • @pattycat100567 oh and the pit was like no other in this small venue, I think some didn't make it out

  • @pattycat100567

They do!! Not on earth though :)

  • ehh

  • First to rate!!! 5*!

  • dude this is fuckin beast

  • its a two album race in my mind for metal album of the year. living sacrifice: the infinite order vs demon hunter: the world is a thorn. both are amazing groups. influenced by one another. great vid for a great song

  • no living sacraficeame first sixteens lyrics came from living sacrafice, and demon hunter gives them credit in every concert, red letter, live in nashville, etc.

  • @DeMonHunNter51 sixteen came from living sacrifice?

  • Farewell to false pretension

    Farewell to hollow words

    Farewell to fake affection

Farewell, tomorrow burnsif you see those two bands together then bruce sings it wen they get to that part, its pretty cool saw em both at red letter

  • @DeMonHunNter51 well i have seen them together, but i just thought demon hunter wrote the words. i dint know that he did too.

  • @BurningHobosTV dude bruce from living sacrifice was in that song lol

  • it is so so so so soooo good to hear these guys again. truly one of the better metal bands that most wont even give a listen.

  • Man, secular radio listeners don't know what they're missing. Bruce's screaming puts them all to shame.

  • @XlordoflordsX yeah, man

  • I'm flying from Boston to Baltimore to see them next Tuesday. yeah. skipping classes and everything. been waiting for about 7 years for this

  • waited alittle more than that...saw them last night in lancaster AWESOME

  • They just came through Dallas, you've got a SICK show comin your way.

  • Been following these guys since 90 and they have never disappointed. Been friends with them for at least 10 years. Some of the most down to earth guys you'll ever meet.

  • LS is so sick!!! They're actually one of the few christian bands that anyone can like.

Check out The Hammering Process and Reborn.

"Your hands are tied, you've been compromised......."

  • just started listening to these guys and dang - never thought i'd hear christian death metal that can compete but this stuff's insane!!!!!!!!!! sucks they playing on valentines day in minnesota

  • @balveniediggz Really ??? check out "with blood comes cleasing" "Sinai Beach" "A plea for purging" "Becoming the Archtype", IMPEDING doom, August burns Red. To name a few By the way Living sacrifice has been rocking since 87. They started out thrash. I don't there death metal now tho. I think just METAL METAL METAL.

  • actually @mentalholocaust if you read the verse in its context then it is talking about making sacrifices to other gods, all of this was under the Leviticul law, and Jesus blood was the atonement for our sins and now we are no longer under that law. Leviticus chapters 17,18, and 19 tell of not making sacrifices to other gods and what you are talking about is the same thing, Romans 6:14 says we are not under the law but grace.

  • Why do these guys have tattoos? I thought their "god" said not to put tattoo marks on yourself? Looks like they failed to the rules.

  • @mentalholocaust not true. Bible says not to do so for other gods. Also, with the death of Christ, many regulations in the old testament were overridden, such as the stuff about not eating pork and whatnot.

  • @rokr432 ....No, it clearly says not to tattoo your body, says nothing about other gods. Ohhh, so the death of christ means we don't have to kill gays anymore? Good thing because you guys would be spending alot of time in prison. ;)

  • You need to know why God said not to tattoo yourself at that time. At the time that the book of Leviticus was written, the pagan cultures used tattoos as a form of ritualistic worship. This is why God commanded this Israelites not to tattoo themselves. They were set apart to God alone.

And as mjhatchett said before, we are no longer under law, but grace. We aren't bound by ritual, but now we are saved through Christ's death.

  • Where does it say not to tattoo in the bible?

And about killing gays, I think the Jews have Christians beat by a long shot, they did kill the son of god!

  • Agreed. They weren't supposed to eat pork because of how disease ridden pigs are. A lot of the bibles "rules" are really just common sense points.

  • the chameleon club!?!

  • I get to see them for the second time in a couple weeks! These guys got me into metal!

  • amazing song! somone needs to make a modern warfare 2 video with this song in the background! :O

  • @psyarx Dude, this song SHOULD be the theme for Modern Warfare 2

  • I like this much more than their older stuff.

  • I'm so glad these guys are back!! Seriously!!They freakin rock!

  • the band helmet ripped off these dudes

  • Everyone ripped off theses dudes. Its the price you pay for being revolutionary.

  • @thesamsin in my opinion, every metal band after LS sounds influenced by them

  • Yeah, thats what im saying. they were so revolutionary that people cant help but be influenced by them in some way.

  • meh....i respect them for what they did, as w/o LS most other christian metal bands wouldnt be around...but i dont like them.

ive seen em live with DH, OS, the Famine, and Advent.....still..not a fan....

  • dude that oncert was amazeing! sleeping gaint was bad ass in that concert.

all agree ls is not my top pic. but they are amazeing! they lead the way for this genere of metal and it will last for decades too come.

  • yea. SG wasnt there when i went. but it was siic...

and, i dont remember the other dudes name, but i apologize for starting this...i dont really like just straight metal that much (cept for DH, LOG, and PAntera)..im more into metalcore

  • oh i saw them at the door in dallas 2008.you missed a damn good show. i'm more of if it sounds good and has a good beat type person my self.

  • ya, i saw at the glasshouse in pomona. same tour tho....freakin epic. i wish i could have seen Oh sleeper in texas...they are my favorite...a home show......well....holy crap..

  • dude the tour was like an audio-gasm! but i saw the whole lot not even 30 min drive form my home town on my birthday i thought that was about as epic as scarry space monkies (sorry that was the coolest thing that came to my mind at the moment.)

  • @chAOStoob u were there too?? i was so bummed when the crucified didnt play but i heard living sacrifice for the first time that night and it more than made up for it. hands was pretty good too, and trhowdown was heavy man!

  • thats cause they have been around since the old days when most bands did both. shows real talent. not an easy thing to pull off.

  • My face, It's, melted....AAAAHHHHGGGGG!!!!!!!!

  • i remember when solid state had good bands on it

  • @nuccaw00t they still have a few. like becoming the archetype, the famine, the showdown, and soul embraced

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds awesome just like I knew the new record would

I still want to hear the song with the dude from The Showdown in it though
