You should try doing it without the penguin :P I got 3 38 laps with Tiny Tiger, it's not amazing butt quite difficult with Tiny compared to the penguin :(

Yesterday I tried CTR again, and saw that my highscore now is about 1.53, and there is about 3% chance that I'll menage to beat that time..

I can't understand how you menage to drive this fast without any kind of turbocheat? I drove exactly like you, and the arrow was constantly at the highest speedlevel possible, but I'm still about 10 sec. away from your best time?

@KurotoraSan This has been a contest between my family for a while. Well we started doing time trials again and my cousin currently got 1:50:71. Well I thought I'd check out other high scores. Well I don't think this guy or the other guy are legit. Starting at 0:35 he stops doing the boost, he goes 5 whole second without doing it but he still keeps his flames. But he jumps, so maybe the jumps are keeping it on, I don't think he is jumping high enough to get turbo in that section. I'll test it.

@evoslip Well, I am legit, I don't use any kinds of turbocheats. You are American, right? So you probably have the American (NTSC) version of CTR, and Penta is slower in the NTSC version (I assume you use it). And for the boosting, if you do the boosts well, you can keep the flames for long periods.

Nice man my best lap is 35.60 and my best overall is 1.48 mins. i used n tropy im going to give penta a shot but i dont like him, hes full everything (acc, top speed, turn) he is a replacement for oxide. Give one of the standard characters a shot and see how u go.

he's got continutious boost, even in the air, which is impossible to do in the game. Plus Penta penguin is cheating as he can't be unlocked in the game. you have to enter a cheat code to get him

dude penta penguin the the fastest selectable character in the game. and even then yoy need a code to unlock him, all his stats are max (top speed, acceleration and handling) unlike any other character, race with anyone else and see if you can match that time

This is quite impressive. You menage to get much more speed than I do, great powerslide! Really good job!. I think of myself as good, but my best time is only 1.58.xx. Best lab is 39.xx

In this track, u have to jump to the right side of the track at 33 second in the video, powerslide a bit, and then u have to start hopping and you'll get speed ghost.

very good! just practice and watch videos and then you will be able to use less powerslides, turn corners better and then you will master the last tunnel:) i used to have 1.45.xx for ages on this track then i got better and better and now i have the WR --> 1.40.45 . good luck, anything is possible
