looks like the left mag. and right mag. contact points are opening at slightly different times... I was under the impression that this meant that they werent timed to eachother. My oral and practical is tomorrow... I hope he lets me get away with the light going off at slightly different points in prop rotation.
@SteRhythm I hope you did well on your O's & P's. It was very nerve-racking for me. My rule on magneto to engine timing is: +/- 1 degree for both mags timing to engine and +/- .5 degrees difference between left and right mags. For example: Lycoming O-235-N2C timing is 20 degrees BDTC. That means they can be within 19-21 degrees, but must be within half a degree of each other.
Why not just switch the Bendix switch to BOTH instead of disconnecting the P-Leads? It accomplioshes the same thing.
