For me Obraztsova is the best carmen ever. she simply is the most passionate one. no other knows how to put feelings into la carmen like her. specially in the dramatic scenes. and like in habanera she can be joyfull in such a delightful way.
She's flat and her French is subpar

She also did a great one in 79 with Domingo and perhaps that was Vienna as i remember seeing it in 79 on TV when it was done.
