it is really cute...but not all that uncommon. I worked daycare for years and often kids would start counting to ten at around 18 months of age. Playing games is the best way to learn for sure!
I know a lot of kids that can't. If you work with a child of this age, they'll pick up anything. We talk to our son and teach him when he's open to learning. Many parents don't realize that they can teach children this young and dismiss their abilities.
