I buy free range chicken eggs....but videos like this make me want to have a few chickens in my garden free range! I hear though they will eat up all your Chard! Wish the chickens in this video had access to sun, grass beneath their feet, and most importantly space.
I have a large yard and I just bought 2 chicks. Got a nice chicken coop for them. But, I want to let them run free in my yard but I'm afraid of the hawks so then I have to keep them in their coop. :( But why do farmers let their chickens out all day & not afraid of the hawks?? Do chicken know how to protect themselves & hide?
@happymusics we have dogs that have learned to protect the chickens from hawks. Get an Anatolian Shepherd. Great dog. Good for gaurding animals, property, and urself.
I pity battery hens. We avoid buying eggs from battery egg farms. We have three very spoiled, well-loved hens and they produce more than enough eggs for my family's use.
They did a study in Europe where they found that free-range eggs were only 30c (euro) more expensive per dozen than industrially farmed caged eggs. Should be banned in Australia, as it is in Europe. Stupid
i dont get it, why cant they be free range? chickens will always lay eggs in nests, why not have a bunch of trap door collectors with a donut shaped nest thingy?
they should just let them play outside after they lay the egg, because chickens only lay 1 egg everyday its pointless keeping them there very sad life
those chickens are so unhealthy! they are suppose to have a really dark red cone and theirs are faded pink... i hate chicken farms that dont keep them looked after properly
I'll never buy eggs, not when I have four hens in my back yard laying eggs for me. They're healthier (no drugs in them!) and I know they came from a hen living the best life possible.
Ah, videos like these make me not wanna buy eggs from the grocery stores and raise some backyard chicken of my own for fresh eggs. They are treating these chicken so poorly! These farms are no different than those who are running puppy mills (I guess we don't eat Puppies). I wouldn't be surprised if these people crush these chicken to make compost after they are done with their egg laying .. sigh (Off to get some chicken and start me up that Chicken Tractor!)
@molinobeer not having kids, check, radical measure on self, check, but not that measure you may have been alluding to. ... and no I'm not living thirdworld style either, I'm a product of upwardly mobile culture. And back to the original topic: Quality matters. Quantity matters.
Insanity! what perfekt farm! a gigantic compliment owner for the great packingstation! I have seen in Germany already very many packingstations! among the rest, also packingstations with two Moba Omnia to 330 or an Omnia 500! But as I have seen in this video here are two Egg-graders were driven INLINE! and then whole robotik! I think ahead this packingstation is one generation in front of the germans! something like that, really would be my dream!
poor things how can you cramp them up!?

Look at those chickens! They looks so unhealthy. If that's what the chickens look like, I can't even imagine how bad those eggs are.

Give me free range eggs, and a smaller human population.
Health and quality first.
ToolsnFire 1 year ago 21
@ToolsnFire
you can start by not having kids, or if you want you can take a little more radical measure on yourself to help reducing human population.
