Political campaigns and media representation are based on the sale of air time. So, people never hear about green party and such. In many countries of Europe we have a rule for presidential campaigns : equal air time for each candidate party on each channel. We then get more balanced politics, more nuances to choose from, and representativity.

NPR has been rather kind to the republicans & pointed out the reason people are swayed to vote for Newt is because he is so experienced & has been there for some time. This is the last thing I would want to hear from a possible presidential candidate, freedom of speech is unAmerican.

When Fox tries to say "he was the target of an ethics complaint by Democrats," you should point out that not only was he convicted of giving false statements, but that the vote against him 395-28. Honestally it won't matter who the Republicans nominate. Obama is going to win if only because Americans see him as the lesser evil. And Obama is a far superior orator to the other candidates. Most Americans will decide their vote on the last debate leading to the election. Obama probably wished that Palin were nominated as she would've been far easier to beat.

Political campaigns and media representation are based on the sale of air time. So, people never hear about green party and such. In many countries of Europe we have a rule for presidential campaigns : equal air time for each candidate party on each channel. We then get more balanced politics, more nuances to choose from, and representativity.

Its possible he could be nominated. It makes me sad for this country to admit it, but it is possible. I was too young to know anything about politics when Newt was Speaker (I was born in '91). What I do have is the opinion of my parents. Both of them are conservative christians who have voted Republican in, at least, the last 3 presidential elections. they have both said they could never vote for Gingrich. They think he is cheating, stealing, scum of the earth. I'm inclined to believe them.

NPR has been rather kind to the republicans & pointed out the reason people are swayed to vote for Newt is because he is so experienced & has been there for some time. They don't always support him politically, but they support his time spent. This seems foolish and lacks any real credibility. I also have heard that Newt has called protesting (in the case of OWS) as unAmerican. This is the last thing I would want to hear from a possible presidential candidate, freedom of speech is unAmerican.

My father has been a dedicated Republican since Carter, and he thinks Gingrich is a lying sack of shit. The right needs their base in a big way this time around, especially since the tea party has created a fissure there, but most of them were working adults in the 90s and remember. I don't think you fully understand what I was saying. In the final election I want to vote for Gary Johnson. My next few picks would be 3rd party candidates. I wouldn't want to vote for Paul, but greatly favor him over anyone in the republican party or Obama. I will run the math for best option.
I am not voting against anyone in the presidential election. I am voting against EVERYONE in office, everywhere else. Career politicians need to end.

Good questions, both. I could imagine them nominating Newt, but I don't think it would be a sure win for Obama. Too many people out there who are disappointed in him, without actually caring about politics. They won't inform themselves about Gingrich before voting and just vote not-Obama.
Still, the bigger question your video raised is, how a guy who worked in 100 democratic campaigns can be so quiet with all this BS, but I guess you just don't bite the hand that feeds you.

I think almost all the primary candidates for republican nomination are terrible. Even when you try "lesser" of evils all of them look terrible. No matter who's nominated, it would seem that it would help Obama's reelection.
