as soon as you find that when we "throw the rascals out" and replace them with the other party of morons and THE SAME THINGS KEEP HAPPENING with only a slight different emphasis. Rule Number 1. Thou shall not deface comments on beatles music, a band that brings everyone together except the one ditz, by commenting on politics. It soils sacred ground. We would be better off picking people randomly out of the phone book for congressmen and senators. Or old rock and rollers tired of touring.
TBH, I actually love Let It Be more than Naked. Naked has a better feel but it's not, how can I say it, the take The Beatles would have put on the album. I love both but yes, I favor Let It Be over the Naked version.
@jonavanhalen that makes sense, around this time they were all going through a more "roots" based period with raw production....spector in that sense shat all over his tapes.
Yes, yes. I know what you are saying,.. but for me it wouldn't be a meaningful difference. I would hear greater highs, more bass and better separation but these are audio terms that have nothing to do with music and are not important to me. I am talking about getting a raw, musical thrill from the recordings and for this, the Ytubes, compromised though they are, are good enough. I have a cd player, and some other nice gear. Trust me, I have been down this road before. Peace....
Why would I purchase these CD's? If you want a comparison find an except from abbey Road or let it Be from the original cd's (also in compressed sound) on YTube. The sound isn't great but at least it has some balls.
Try going on Ebay. Buy a Dual 1019 turntable (circa 1968, for about 50 dollars) find the American Capitol Lp's, and hear what all the excitement was about. You won't find it on the 2009 remasters.
They sound oddly boring. No sense of flow. There is a softness to the sound. A mushy, synthetic quality that tires over time. I prefer the 1987 CDs, to say nothing of the various Lp transfers.
This is a soft mushy pillow. Not a rock band. I just want something with a pulse, not a lifeless obelisk.
Your reply indicates your ignorance. My comment was directed solely at the sounds of these remastered discs. Ignore the truth if you want, It will always be there. I have no time for lies and bs, and neither should you.
So you would prefer a poorly remastered disk to a clearly improved one? It's in your head that this sounds softer. Read up on what the engineers did before you comment on the "synthetic" quality of these superior remasters.
I would prefer the sound of a remastered disc that wasn't mushy and boring. These are. I don't need to read up on anything. I have the evidence of my own two ears.
I'm a beatlemaniac who breathes The Beatles. But I indeed dislike the Spector version of The Long and Winding Road, compared to the Naked version.

The Long and Winding Road この楽曲の構成・ポールは現代のベートベンかシューベルトか?まさに神が創造した人物。

i know i'll get crucified for this but the spector mixes are way better than let it be...naked
i'm also pretty shocked that paul disliked the orchestral dubs on long and winding road since hes known for his bombastic and over the top sound

I agree wtih you I perfer Spector's mixes. I do think that the orchestration in the long and winding road is a bit much though.

@PerryCoxPF93 maybe paul wants a song with a different structure, maybe don't dislike him, he only want to do something diferent to this

Eww... The Phil Spector version...
I think I would not buy this, just because of that.
I'll stick to Let It Be... Naked, for now.

Agreed! But they have done a great job! It proves that spector was shit- his original mix was pathetic!

You must be a Republican. No one but a crazy birther could render a negative comment about this music.
