Awesome. Really liked the visual part of the video. Very original idea and i really liked how you explained the different ways you interact and are part of an economy. Its fun to think about the spiderweb of economic transactions that can come out of just one thing - like playing in a band.
Leo, i really liked how you related the bigger picture to smaller categories, and the way that you used the orange as a metaphor. I also like how you included your own economic experiences in the video.
Nice way of relating a huge idea like the economy to something much more personal like the household sharing and trading we do with our families (chores). Also, hat offs for all those efforts you make to try and make oun existence more sustainable. Peeling the fruit down to individual pieces was a neat way of showsh
Oops. Lost connection. Any way I liked the peeling of the fruit showing how it is one giant thing to the fact that it takes many subsurface smaller pieces to actually make it whole. Without these individual pieces you could never have the whole economy.
This is an awesome take on this assignment. I really enjoyed the way that you used an orange to peel away the outside layer of how the economy is presented. It was also nice to hear about your own economic practices and ways of relating the economy to your personal life. You did not simply give a generic definition, and the video raised further questions in my mind as to what economy means in my personal life. Very impressive for sure!
The fact that you use your life as an example makes your discussion of various economic systems and interactions accessible. It's easier to conceptualize noncapitalist exchanges when given concrete examples.
Leo, I like your approach - you start with the broad picture and break it down (with the layers of fruit) to the small picture. It made a lot of sense. I like how you also include the ways you personally involve yourself in the economy, like the farm share. Some of the words you use might be a little inaccessible for the general public who might be trying to understand the economy. The end of the video was powerful and made a lot of sense.
Leo, I really enjoyed watching your video and how you involve yourself as part of the economy. The use of the orange was also very creative.
