Mentioning the glaring fact that slavery has ALWAYS been a big part of Arab Muslim culture and Black African culture doesn't "justify" the relatively short time Americans had slavery. Europeans did not have any slavery in Europe after the 5th century AD. and even during Roman times, slavery wasn't a "racial" thing - slaves were servants of a household - many Greek teachers/artists slaves.

At the end of his life Malcolm X formed two organizations, 1. The Organization Of Afro-American Unity, 2. The Muslim Mosque inc. The first one was strickly for black people, not Asians, or anyone else, but black people, meaning those with afro hair and dark skin. The ones who were on their own when they were lynched and segregated. Malcom X was a Muslim, not an Asian , or Arab. If he was alive today he would be speaking out on whats been going on in Darfur.

Great Man - A real legend. He put his life on the line for the sake of his peoples freedom and Human rights. The influence Islam played in the struggle for freedom 1400 years ago and in the modern era is paramount and is what its all about - Peace and Justice for all mankind. Possibly the main reason they had to pull to the plug is because he was a great speaker and was a muslim. A shame as we lost the only real leader of the 21st century that truly stood for something great and Inspiring. RIP

Malcolm X knew. Many of his speeches he referred to "negroes" as the lost sheep. The NOI uses Genesis 15:13-14 as a part of their doctrine, so they definitely were familiar with the prophecies about the slave ships. Since he was the representative for elijah muhammad until 1963, he spoke for the NOI, and not for himself. But you know you can tell black people the truth til you get blue in the face and they'll never get it. So malcolm focused on our human rights. But i definitely agree with you

um, if you read the qur'aan in arabic, it explains that all prophets before muhammad died. Also, the qur'aan explains that all people must die, including jesus. Jesus lived his life, and he died just like any other man. He is not alive in heaven. The qur'aan says all men need food and drink. That includes Jesus. Jannah is a spiritual realm, not a physical realm. And the qur'aan also warns against books like the "hadiyth". The hadiyth is a fabrication. READ QUR'AAN ONLY!
