I found a XM25 grenade launcher on top of one of the towers. I decided to camp up there. Planted a few claymores and kept my eye out for Wolf.

Alas, she saw me, ran to my position and threw a grenade from below. I got blown up and fell from the top of the tower.

I'm curious... the area that you fight in did not look like any area I remember from MGS. Where is that supposed to be? Also, fitting that you fight Crying Wolf in the same area you originally fight Sniper Wolf and kill her.

It's between Communication Towers A and B. The part where you climb all the stairs and then have to rope your way down. You never go down here in the original.

nope. hideo just says that its to add some female battling soldiers into the mix of the previous MGSs men soldiers. and after finishing MGS4, i think the female population is extinct.

i noticed something. since i've clearly listened to and also liked crying wolf's battle theme, the theme is only mostly playing whenever a FROG or crying wolf is nearby...might be helpful.

It has been the same since MGS1. In the battle with the Hind, for example, the music only plays when it shows up and attacks you.

easiest thing to defeat her is to stay under the truck and shoot the frogs as they come by. She will investigate the bodies and you can take her out without losing any health.

I hid under the truck for so long that I ended up killing all the frogs and she didn't even check them out or send another wave out:(

I used to MK III as bait to lure her out and defeated her non-lethaly though ^_^
