@superstr5 IIRC he was writing a book about a middle class neighbourhood and he took the job there for first-hand experience. I'd look on wikipedia to make sure but I'm too lazy at the moment, plus I'm listening to the Mr Belevedere theme song.
@superstr5 Originally she was a full-time law student and he worked all the time and the kids were younger and not well-equipped to run the house on their own.
@thirtymphs ok and THAT i get!! but!! she dropped out and took a job at a diner!! and as i said, they did have episodes with money troubles.including buying a car and sending the eldest to a good college!! and yet, nobody once said, ummm lets cut the butler loose!.lol and besides that, why did he call them by there first names, and they called him MR?..lol i still think he had some kinda dirt on the owens family!!!..lol
I loved this show growing up as a child even though it is cult classic and on the fringe of being totally forgotten but i am glad that some people that i know that are around my age still remember this show.
@WREYtube hopefully we'll find out on the current FamNET TV reruns if they make it all the way to the 6th season. So far some of the S3 eps. they're showing on that channel are from the U.S. syndication prints (w/ the short theme from the S4 intro) and one episode "Separation" used the full S3 intro credits.
@WREYtube FamNET TV. They're also showing The Bob Newhart Show and its 80s sitcom Newhart, Mary Tyler Moore, Remington Steele, I Spy, The Saint among other shows. They also used to show Lou Grant, Trapper John, M.D. and Lost in Space earlier this summer before they were pulled from FamNet.
I dunno if Direct TV carries it but it's definitely on AT&T U-Verse though. You might have to check your cable provider to see if they have it on there.
