Very talented horse. Its nice to see this type of QH in this training. Would have liked to see how he handles counter canter, lead changes, extensions... To see how his conformation challenges the movements. Would also like to see how he is in a snaffle. Not judging him, just saying.. and, This training will build the crest. Very nice horse. Also, as a QH enthusiast, I would like to know his breeding.... Driftwood? Hancock? Definatly foundation lines.
Beautiful. I have to argue with the term "TB influence" the breed was developed by TB. Go look for yourself. All TB , with Mustang, Percheron, Morgan, Native American ponies, and there is even and Appy. It is just that back in the 1700's the TB was stocky and made to run not like todays TB with it's spinly legs and sucked up bodies. The Percheron gives them the big butt style they have. Dressage training is great for a young horse it is all trotting. Great muscle builder. :)
@GoldArmored Likely this is what you are unaccustomed to seeing because all together too many QH breeders are actually breeding Appendix bred QH stock which is heavily infused with TB blood. This is the perfect example of what a true Quarter Horse should look like. He is probably a stallion & probably never wears a neck sweat. Not kept a neck sweat on. He is perfect IMHO & there should be more like him instead of people perpetually breeding AWAY from the original breed standards.
What are the plans for this horse? And has he competed @ all since this was posted?
