dai means can - follow verb = Phom phuut phaasaa Thai dai nidnoi .
"dai" in other meaning for example
dai = to get something
phom dai TV. = I got a TV.
and dai is the word for indicate the past tense
mai dai + verb = did not + verb
example
muawaannii, phom mai dai pai = yesterday, I didn't go
