  • @megleyd its in D standard (in the description), everything is tuned down a whole step.

  • i like the part that sounds like buckethead big sur moon

  • I was listening to the finger tapping bit and its sad that you were playing something epic on the bass but you couldn't hear it.. other than that pretty darn amazing.

  • this in drop D?

    its sick btw

  • wtf are you doing home when you should be touring the world?! SHIT!

  • love your creativity...keep good work more

  • I've been listening to your songs since a while (even if they are only 3), and i am always like "wow dude". Really hope you'll manage to do something big. Waiting for the EP! (sorry for the english)

  • I get a bitter sweet feeling listening to your music. Part of me says... "Wow.... I should really get an autograph from this dude before he gets famous." and part of me says "Damn... he's better than me." lmao

  • This is so great.

  • between the buried and me fan?

  • Who dislikes this? lol

  • This is fucking incredible !!!!!!! You have guitar tabs on it?

  • u have tabs?

  • I think you have a very ugly bass guitar :)

you rock tho , ive seen a few videos of urs now , and subscribed , inspiring

  • Very nicely done, man. It's always inspiring to see the one-man compositions like this.

  • beautiful song

  • needs some strings

  • i wish i could play acoustic like that, its beautiful

  • wow, you are incredibly talented. this stuff sounds fantastic. I just got into progressive instrumental metal not too long ago and i love it. id really like to talk sometime on facebook or whatever to see how you come up with your music ideas because im actually starting to try and write music myself so if its no trouble then hit me up. Again, great job on this, sounds great.

  • Quick question, when you write progressive music do you just play around with parts that just sound off and cool? I don't mean this in an offensive way whatsoever, I'm just asking simply because I'm interested in writing/composing it as well. Or if not, do you just choose an odd time signature and say I'm going to play 5/4 here or I'm going to play 7/8 or 9/8? Basically, I'm just curious if this is all natural to you or if you have trained yourself to play in odd times and where to start writing

  • i wish i could play keyboard with you, i'd love to make progressive music :) just hard to find someone that also likes it haha

  • I don't even listen to metal, but I could listen to this all day :D

  • @piikapoka Cool. I'm glad you enjoyed the music, even if metal isn't your thing.

  • very good ideas :O and good song of course ;)

  • @666HellDrummer666 Thanks! I appreciate it.

  • this is sick. ive got my own written song on my page, but i think im goin to take a shot at writing something progressive.

  • @1stdeadpresident Thanks! Glad you liked it and that it's making you wanna try out some prog music. Good luck!

  • Much respect.

  • @TheHakemaru Thanks! I appreciate it.

  • @skimam I started playing about eight years ago or so, I guess. I took lessons for a little while early on. I don't play music at all in school. You can learn everything I know just from tutorials online for sure. Basic scales/modes and some simple techniques (sweeping, tapping, arepeggiating). Hope that helps!

  • @MarksGuitarWhat I'd say very little. I don't know a whole lot of theory. I know some basic scales and only the very basics about harmonization, but that's about it. I mostly just go with what sounds right to me.

  • Damn this is good.

  • @TheDais19 Thanks a lot!

  • @sjdemartini hey no problem. I was wondering if you want to collaborate on music? I'm a vocalist. Check out my youtube page.

  • @TheDais19 I really wish I could collaborate with people because there are a lot great musicians out there, but I'm honestly just too busy to commit to something like that at the moment. Maybe sometime in the future. Right now, I barely have time to pick up my guitar and play!

  • @sjdemartini No problem. Whenever you find time let me know.

  • Listen to this piece every day, never gets boring. Outstanding, u composed one of the best songs ever.

  • @aretherenamesleft9 Awesome. Thanks for leaving a comment and letting me know! I appreciate the support!

  • Awesome composition, seriously man... you've outdone yourself with this one. That tapping bit in the middle sounds incredible

  • @LlamaTheory Cool, thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I really appreciate you leaving a comment. Always enjoy feedback.

  • Awesome dude. We have the same bass lol

  • @CherubicGuardian Cool, thanks! I guess that's unfortunate that you've got that bass ;) Hopefully I can upgrade at some point...

  • Great job as always! Just keeps getting better.

  • @MindOfPagan Thanks! I appreciate it.

  • I love this more than words can describe. It's catchy and technical, please keep making music!

  • @terran1849 Thanks! I really appreciate the kind response. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • @supershiva11 Thank you! Glad you liked it!

  • I shall name my son, "Bulbasaur."

  • @NinjaOfFortune lol okay then.

  • Crazy! I like it.

  • @RiffInvader Cool, thank you!

  • you sir, make awesome music! im thinking myself of making a EP, but i kind of need help with which programs to use and how to make drums. you got any tips for me? :) keep it up, and im looking forward to see much more from you! (you just made a new fan ^^)

  • @stebbZv Awesome! Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed my music. Check out the description for some tips. I use Guitar Pro 5 to write the drum parts out, and then I export the MIDI file and use Drumkit from Hell to get the semi-realistic sounds. There are probably tutorials that you can find that will explain this in more detail. Good luck!

  • tabs plz

  • @tunisiamejrislim Haha thanks for your interest. I think I'll be releasing tabs with my songs when I put out my EP next year. Stay tuned!

  • Really awesome and original!

  • @Mozzosemola666 Thank you!

  • Every time I listen to this I feel like my mind is on a journey .. bit creepy hah, but I really do... I am recording a demo with my band and I had to record the bass line as we don't have one yet, I AM AMAZED of your bass' skills..!

  • @biosguitar Thanks a lot man! That's awesome that my music moves you like that. I really appreciate you sharing your feedback with me. Good luck with your band!

  • I hate you xD

  • @rocketmaster666 Ah no need to hate. Hope you like the music

  • Hey man your prog stuff is really cool. Tell me what you think of a new song I've just written with a friend of mine (no vocals yet, but if you listen you'll hear where the vocals are meant to fit in.)

    watch?v=gNk7idw7kfg

  • Very Incredible song, A awesome work, its very nice !

I love the moment at 4.05, so mélodic :)

    Good job !

  • @arwi55 Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed that riff and the song generally. I appreciate the comment!

  • I got a question.. How do you write song? I meen like tabs or notes? Maybe a stupuid question..

  • @elc0n I don't read sheet music, so if I want to write down a guitar part, I use tabs. But to "write" a song doesn't literally require you to write down the song. If you can remember the riff and play it, there's not necessarily a need to physically write it down.

  • wow, real neat dude

  • @smashingpoop Thank you!

  • My friend, I just got floored by your stuff. incredibly well done... each part is epic, I want to start playing again, you've just inspired me... i'm surprised only a 5436 views, it should be a hell of a lot more!!! Again well done!!

  • @sageof6paths1 Thanks so much! Glad to know I've inspired you to play music some more. Keep at it! I really appreciate your feedback and support!

  • Fucking incredible! Any chance of tabs in the future?

  • @ncct23 Thank you! Glad you're interested. I might end up releasing tabs when I put out my EP next year. Stay tuned!

  • freaking beautiful!!

  • @Blackhawks928 Thank you!

  • This song is fantastic, very nice work. I just have some questions on how you recorded it... you recorded a clean guitar and then imported the file on guitar rig 4 for the tones? And how did you save the song in the demo version of guitar rig and wich presets did you use? I'm thinking about recording some of my songs, but i really don't know how i should do that... any help would be very appreciated!

  • @ProgDemon I used Guitar Rig as a VST in my digital audio workstation (which for me was Reaper). I didn't use the standalone Guitar Rig application. I recorded all clean guitar parts straight into my computer, and then I used the Guitar Rig VST in Reaper to get the different guitar tones. The demo version of GR lasts only a half hour and you can't save your own presets, but you can export whatever audio you want from the digital audio workstation within that half hour. Hope that helps

  • I just discovered your music man. I must say I like it very much. I've been searching for something with more of an alternative sound, kind of like an Animals as Leaders feel. You've definitely got something, and I'll be sure to subscribe and check out more of your videos. Give some of my originals a listen sometime if you get a chance. Keep it up!

  • @DDball Thanks a lot! I really appreciate the kind feedback. Glad you enjoyed my sound. I hope to release another song in the first part of next year.

  • @stoutmeister91 Glad you enjoyed the song! Thanks for your support!

  • Mother fucker did it again. Now excuse me while I go change my boxers.

  • @StandBehindTheGiant Haha alright TMI. Glad you (really) liked it!

  • great stuff!

  • @MaggiesBookshop Thanks!

  • hey man, you're a skilled composer. i'd really appreciate it if you would listen to some of the midi files i've composed and think about possibly doing a collaboration. i used to be in a band called the zodiac complex. TZC played bamboozle 2 years in a row, but the band ended up breaking up. i've been composing a lot of music on my own, and i am trying to collaborate with musicians like you, to hopefully make some of the most progressive and expressive music out there.

  • @ryangreenwoodmusic Glad you liked my music! I would be down to collaborate with people, but honestly I don't have the time. Sad to say I haven't even picked up my guitar in a couple weeks. Anyway, good luck with your future music endeavors.

  • Hey, when will this be available for download?

  • @bloodgauss1 I'm planning on releasing this in a four-song EP next year after I record one more song. So stay tuned. I'm not gonna put a date on it, but I hope I can get it done in a reasonable amount of time. I appreciate your interest!

  • Man, t-shirts of Scale the Summit, Devin Townsend and Animals as Leaders. You and i like the same bands.

  • @cocozaococozao123 Haha nice! They're pretty damn awesome, I must say.

  • Absolutely sensational. This should have ten times the amount of views it has. You're a pro.

You are the first user to ever get in my favorites list twice, and I am now going to subscribe to you, making you the third person I have ever subscribed to. I am very picky, but you deserve it. Just keep on making music as good as this.

  • @AOMCmusic Thanks a lot! I really appreciate your kind words. Really. Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed my music. I hope to have another song out next year. You're giving me motivation to make it happen quicker than I originally intended!

  • AAL SHIRT XD!!!!!!

  • @IronAndMetal582 Haha right on!

  • You are an amazing composer!!! and amazing guitar player too =D

I wanna be like you xD

  • @vaxkors95 Awesome! Thanks for your comment!

  • man, it's cool :)

  • @tormalac90 Thank you!

  • this is awesome man ;) i'm very impressed, are you learning music? or have you? this is sick! i'm also writing my songs but sometimes i start and then i've lack of creativity, i don't know anything of theory :x

  • @goncaloshred I'm not studying music in school or lessons or anything. I took lessons for a little while a few years ago. I don't know much theory at all either. I'd recommend you learn your basic scales and modes, and then practice some useful skills: arepeggiating, sweeps, tapping. Stick with it! Hope that helps. Thanks for your comment!

  • I AM F***** BUYING YOUR EP!!!!

  • I AM FUCKING BUYING YOUR EP!!!!

  • @Tim0o0 Haha awesome! It won't be out till I record another song, but stay tuned. Hopefully in the first part of next year I'll make it happen.

  • man, that was amazing, this was one of the best songs i have ever heard in my life, you need to find some people that are as in to music as you and teach them your songs and form the greatest band ever...lol, i definately subed and will be looking forward to your next video!

  • @KHurley1994 Wow, thanks for such kind words. I really appreciate the comment. It means a lot to me to hear such positive feedback and support!!! I plan to put out another song in the not-too-distant future! Stay tuned!

  • @bajramovic92 Thanks a lot. I really appreciate the comment. Will do :)

  • Sounds like California Guitar Trio in the beginning... Awesome stuff dude, although I can't watch you anymore because you make me feel like crap =)

  • @InternalMeaning Cool, thank you! And don't feel bad man. Music is about feeling good :)

  • too sick - peace brother

  • @OdinsDeathsquad Thanks a lot! I appreciate it

  • very good! keep doing it!

  • @justforanything Thank you! Will do!

  • 100 % beast and awesomeness!! i want ur presets ! :)

  • @july03ification There's not much to it actually! I use "Classic Metal Lead," a factory preset in Guitar Rig 3, for most of the guitar riffs in the song. Bass has no amp modeling or anything, just the straight sound. Thanks for your feedback!

  • Great song. I'm sure I said something similar to this last time, but you should take the time to research some better production techniques to do your songs a little more justice. For example, you can make drums from hell sound decent, but there are much better programs; Check out superior drummer. Also, the guitar tone could use some beefing. That whole deal.

    Keep it up!

  • @MindOfPagan Thanks a lot! I appreciate the detailed, constructive feedback. I agree that the production could be better. I think I might look into Superior for my next song. It's pricey, but people have gotten some awesome sounding mixes with it. So we'll see.

  • dude, Drumkit from hell sucks, this song deserves a better mix.

  • @BASBERT I see where you're coming from. I hope to upgrade to Superior 2.0 in the future. So we'll see if I can get that before I record my next song... Thanks for the comment
