There is no such thing as "enlightenment". When are ppl gonna get this? Who is the arbiter of this socalled "state" anyway? The one claiming to have it?
The concept of "enlightenment" is just another egocentric authoritarian power trip that judges, separates, makes the misfortunate unenlightened the "OTHER" and thereby sets the "other" into a position to be maligned, denigrated, marginalized, ad infinitum........

whos to say men invented meditation? thats really an unfounded fact. There are and have been many female mystics. The goddess cult was in existence, far long than christianity
Nobody invented meditation, everybody does it . .. you do it when you drift away in your thoughts in the company of boring people, . . . or when you go to bed, right before you go to sleep, . . . or when you get up in the morning , or right after you're finished watching a movie, . .. everybody does it, its intrinsic, . .. its just that some people take it to extremes.
The Wonders: . It is really easy to solve. Start loving everyone. It is as simple as that. The only reason you have extremism, regardless of whether it is Islamic or Christian or Hindu or anything else is because people feel disenfranchised from acceptance. They are not accepted. Love, accept everyone and you will have no extremism. There is no room for extremism when everyone is appreciated, loved, and provided an opportunity, the same equal opportunity for love that everyone else is provided.
i would be supercool if ppl that upload videos in english put subtitles, on english, ... you know it could be for deaf ppl, and its easy to understand for ppl that doesnt hear english easyly
Most of what he says is true in my experience. By not mentioning the 'exceptions' to the 'rules' (he doesn't mean to say absolute statements) he doesn't discount views. Opposition is an illusion.
They stared at walls because their brain chemistry was altered. Improving the brain chemistry is a different path it is much fuller and does not detract you from meditating while the brain chemistry is not altered it only improves your understanding. Chemicals are the missing ingredient to Yoga. It ensures you don't stray off the path.
Kevin is another rented possesed body of a being of light, a deceitful lier who wants to condemned people just like he already is, he is a tool of the ascended masters or negative beings in a disguise of pure light beings, its your decition to fall or not fall on his trapt.
You should start by learning to write english then read more about your faith before judging the faith of others. Your views are totally biased by some I guess, baptist dogma mumbo jumbo.
We haven't discovered yet the true nature of love, because it exists on subtler level of our beings. In every case, it deals with our astral body. We feel attraction with persons whom we already knew in our previous lives - through our subtle astral body, that's the way how karmic bonds are renewed in this life. What in love gets really "stuck" is our astral body, that is, strongest points of touch, which are e.g. Sun-Moon, Venus-Mars and others. On transpersonal level, it's the energy of Neptun
You know . . . I'm more and more coming around to the idea that this "teacher" paradigm (as demonstrated here) is just a kind of bad news.
If Ken Wilber (or whoever it may be) is such a great guy . . . why doesn't he just concentrate on being great with one other person? Forget the lecturing and the book-writing and all that kind of stuff.
What? Not enough of a challenge for him? Just one-on-one with another human being?
If you think about it . . . that simply can't be true.
Ken Wilber hasn't had unsuccesful marital relationships as of yet. :) Currently he is married (third time), and has a lot of friends. His second wife is one of his best friends, who is now married to the local (state of Colorado) singer/artist Stuart Davis. His (Wilber's) first wife is also his good friend. His second wife, unfortunately fell victim to breast cancer, based on which he wrote a long book detailing their 5 year ordeal. Yet I disagree with some of Wilber's theories, but not much.
Male spirituality could tend to look like not caring. The notion of female loving spirituality on the subtle and causal level sounds interesting. Peace and contentment to all beings.
the measure of a man is his unflappability - but this comes not from hardening and defending against painful thoughts, emotions and experiences but by being willing to experience it all.
Seems to me that this is not so different from the 'love until it hurts' approach which Ken describes as the feminine approach.
The realized Masculine emphasizes manifestation of The-One-in-the-Many.
The realized Feminine emphasizes manifestation of The-Many-in-the-One.
They both have realized the One . . . and both have realized the Many. But their tendency to manifest either is different -- and complementary.
The difference is rooted in different innate neuro-physiological capacities: Women are inclined to multiply thoughts, emotions, and experiences . . . and Men to unify them.
What is the ultimate purpose of this study? What is it that we seek... or feel that we lack and in turn so desperately seek. Complexity in education seems to go full circle and take you back to where you started... the thoughtless state of a child.
The irony is that people will put them through massive amounts of suffering thinking that they will eventually reach some cloud of bliss when everything will be hunky dory is just not true.
Reading some of these comments makes me want cry: Ken has created an "integral" map of the universe, something that has never been done before and with AQAL and ILP this map can be applied to our daily lives.
We have found Satanism is the original religion of humanity. We have done our research. Satanism is based upon the ancient religions that predated Judaism and Christianity from hundreds to thousands of years.
That is interesting. The views that he ascribes to, don't see a reason for such actions, therefore these were just changing opinions. I'd have to say he doesn't think homosexuality is unreal. He seems to be in difficulty in using the types model (as in male and female psychology types) to be applied to homosexuality, because there is more to sexual typse, beyond just femininity or masculinity. So... what did he think was 'unreal'?
The Integral Life Practice Starter Kit presents the simplest, most effective practice that you can do to wake up. Some have even mistaken its straightforward audio and video instruction as enlightenment-in-a-box!"
Holy shit, that is shameless. All I have to say is HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I actually didn't overlook it, but thanks for pointing that out: I know he wouldn't CALL it enlightenment-in-a-box, but in the context he's still using that to sell the product!! Do you disagree? The previous sentence supports my point that he loves the fact that people "mistake" it for that: "the simplest, most effective practice that you can do to wake up." This is absolutely ridiculous. If you could buy your way into heaven this would be a very different world.
I own the ILP Starter KIt. It does in fact contain an effective practice that can help you wake up. What does all this have to do with buying your way into heaven? The KIt has been rendered slightly out dated with the publication on Integral Life Practice but the DVDs on Genpo Roshi's Big Mind, along with the 3 Body Workout are outstanding. The 3-2-1 Shadow Module can be done without the DVD but I am grateful for its inclusion and I recommend the Kit to anyone just getting started with ILP.
So maybe it is somehow improving your quality of life, but that has absolutely nothing to do with truth, or what you call "waking up". But if it makes you feel good, knock yourself out.
Um... if some of the comments made you "want cry", why is that? Is it because you might have an emotional attachment to something you desperately want to believe in? I'm just asking.
Honestly, if you were familiar with Integral Theory at all you wouldn't have made the comments you have and we wouldn't be having this conversation. Integral Theory isn't something to "believe in," nor is it "truth." Integral Theory is a map. And as Wilber often says, a map is not the territory. Integral Theory is now being taught in universities, is being applied in big business and non-profits alike and has even made its way into medicine.
Well said. Integral is a map that includes not only the physical cosmos as well and realms of consciousness and spirit. I would imagine that one viewing the random Ken Wilber video may get the wrong idea ....
Everybody in the audience should have been aghast at that comment he made about the guys in the front row!
He mentions Mother Teresa twice. As a positive thing. A lot of people do this without realizing that MT was quite possibly the most ANTI-WOMAN any prominent female social activist has ever been! Completely against womens' reproductive rights.
And I have tried to read him. But his writing is so pretentious that I literally feel nauseous. He is selling something he doesn't have.
mother Teresa gave her life for others, say what ever you want, but in the end she gave her entire life to help others... if you think a person that´s able to express such unconditional love to the needed is still a bad example of a good person then your opinion should not be taken seriously. I think your problem is that you have a strong hate for anything related to the catholic church. peace
Sniffy Wilber says that "kissing a leper is a good test." Of what? A test for what type of leprosy? (see medicine) A test for the kisser's insanity? What if the leper doesn't want to kiss you back, Sniffy? What if the leper wants to be kissed by someone else? (like another leper) Or what if the last person on earth a leper wants to be kissed by is Sniffy Wilber? I guess if Sniffy says that kissing a leper is a good test, he means it. Ok. Let's put it to the test. After YOU, Sniffy. :)
...to a state of oneness and good, people would rather live in a good world right? although compared to the whole the individual is insignificant but the whole couldnt evolve without the individual, we the individuals are learning how not to be through trial and error. a bit like you learn not to play with matches because you burn yourself, humanity as a whole needs individuals in order to learn and evolve and be a race of loving compationate humble and honnest people.
heres an idea for you, imagine a red block this block is humanity as a whole, now zoom in slightly and see billions of dots that make up the whole, these dots are individuals, now the comunication and reproduction between these dots allows the whole to expand, due to the interactions of hundreds of individuals the form of the whole changes, humanity as a whole is steadily learning right from wrong good from bad, even down to things like materialism. eventualy humanity as a whole will evolve...
Dude,I was obviously(to better informed people at least)making a joke. When has anyone ever seen footage of Hitler in a similar situation as this video??
my understanding is Mother Teresa WASN'T enlightened, and the church wanted to repress her private letters which exposed her desire of yet lack of direct experience of God... and where she said, If she'd known where it would all end up, she would have left the first child on the street.
Christianity confuses suffering and sacrifice with love and Wilber tends to do the same.
In reality, as Osho and Jeshua have both said, If it hurts, it ISN'T love. Attachments, needs, concepts hurt... not love.
I like all the mystical—mythical—aspects of your videos that I receive from David Roel, mostly interviewing the Rabbi. But they somehow don't transcend the pathological roots of their own iconic wisdom as an 'irony' unto themselves in the compelling way Joseph Campbell explains in must of his work and particularly in HERO WITH A THOUSAND FACES. Or on video, in the Bill Moyers interview with Compbell that is very complete--love your INTELLECT! Keep the faith.
Please read all my last 4 posts as one. This is N04
How far can we enumerate the infinite variety of Sri Krsna's qualities such as these? They contradict each other, and yet they are eternally and beautifully present without opposition or conflict in His svarupa (form), His abode, and in the various paraphernalia related to Him. This is the inconceivable nature of His sakti.
These are important subjects, life is meant 4 self realization. First we have to know what the self is, then inquire about how to realize it. I dont agree that everything is one only and that makes it two already. You see individuality is present everywhere and so r qualities like mercy and love which r personal and individual, but our mercy & love is limited and conditioned, we r struggling with our minds, our bodies and senses, relationships egos, taxman, the law eg and think we r God amazing huu?
Similarly, at one and the same time, He possesses all qualities (savisesa), and yet He has no qualities (nirvisesa); He is acintya (inconceivable), and full of rasa; He is both limited and limitless; He is very far away, and very close by; He is unaffected (nirvikara), and yet He is afraid of the mana (sulking mood or apparent anger) of the gopis.
Even though Sri Krsna has the most beautiful form (rupa), He is formless (arupa); He has a transcendental murti (form), but He is present everywhere; He is always active, and yet, being unaffected, He performs no karma; He is the son of Nanda Maharaja, although He is unborn; He is simply a cowherd boy, although He is worshipped by all others; and He has a human-like form and bhava, although He is omniscient.
These topics can be understood in isolation from each other, but their relationships are inconceivable. In the material world, because opposite qualities have the inherent tendency to annihilate each other, principles that are mutually opposed cannot be present together at the same place. However, Sri Krsna's sakti has such inconceivable power that in the spiritual world it manifests all the mutually opposing qualities together at the same time and in a very wonderful and beautiful manner.
that might be true hahah.. i wanna feel those kinda effects without using the drugs tho... know what i mean.. i wanna feel the euphoria of LSD without harming myself
mushrooms and LSD are along the same lines; however, shrooms are more of a 'natural' experience. One could even say less intense (but a compelling and real 'mystical' experience), consuming a small amount is probably the right way to start out. But, none the less I hear what you're saying......btw although I haven't experimented with LSD that often, I'm much more of an advocate for good pyslocybin mushrooms.
we cant possible be one,In fact we can not even see beyond the four walls we are sitting in. One-ness is a nice illusion. If everything is one, you should have known that before someone came and installed this idea inside you, not after. Oh yeah now you told me,i am one whith everything, I am God. Its like saying "I am Napoleon" But hey! if you are one with everything then you must be also Napoleon, so lets get the man in white jackets
Wow . Common sense is uncommon devarsi. Thanks. I'm finding this new Advaita stuff so unreal. In theory yes , maybe -but it seems that rather than having a simple experience of love/compassion through sincere and earnest letting go , many people just think you learn to say all the right things and it becomes true.
hey just read your comment, thanks.see some of my videos about oneness. They think they r one with everything, some think I am you and you are me, others think we r all god, its a mad world out there. They can not explain individuality, if all is one how come everyone feels individual? that experience should not even exist if all is one, so they cover it u with flowery lofty language
Words ore utterly empty. If you have had a glimpse of the Union or Oneness state, not as idea or mind trip but as experience, then you know utterly that it is not an installed idea. The small experience I have had (small indeed) was quite different than anything I had imagined by hearing such an idea. If you haven't experienced such yet I know this probably doesn't help much.
Oneness experience is temporary, because u can not stay there and only memory remains. The absolute truth has to be both,a person as well as energy, otherwise it can not becalled absolute.Wer 1 with god in quality, but not in quantity, He is big & we r small, we r small individual particles of consciousness experiencing ourselves within Gods all pervading super consciousness hence our individuality experience. The mistake is to think that we r the all pervading energy surrounding us.create an egg :-)
What you refer to is "omnipotence", or unlimited power, not "Oneness". Oneness does not imply that you know everything that every other separate individual knows in the relative world. That's just remaining separate and knowing everything.
explain how the oneness became individual , its obviously not an illusion, everyone experiences separate individualconsciousness, even those who think they are one are individual. If all is one individuality and diversity eg should not even exist. Explain the quality of mercy and compassion, which are personal. After Your experience you still remained an individual and u still r.One can not have a separate experience if all is one.If your god create an egg just like that :-)
Everything is one? Really? So dont wear a coat in the winter, you will be warm, dont eat or eat sand, if its all one you should not be cold, sand will be tasty and the 5 minutes you may lack when you very very urgently have to go, make no difference at all. So I dont agree and that makes us two. HA!
you misunderstand. the black and white the wrong and right and the up and down are all part of our one perception. There is only one. We are all part of the one equation of God. there is no god making things happen because god is the things happening. One god and we fit in that equation.
We fit well into this equation? ok so if you are god then do something godlike, but you cant, you cant even stop going to the toilet, what to speak of creating a planet or a universe. If everything is one, then explain diversity and especially individuality. So I dont agree this makes it two already.
The real concept is: everything is inconceivably one and different in the same time. The one who is one, is God, but we are parts within.
Yeah we are parts of God. God isn't a noun some big bearded man in the sky. god is a verb. not a noun. Our diversity isn't seperate from God. Hey no debate I think we see eye to eye. We are all one and different at the same time I agree with that. A mystic doesn't look for god he or she swims in the atmosphere of God. PEACE>>>
there's an old buddhist statement that an enlightened man would eat as readily from a plate of shit and a glass of piss as from a buffet platter and glass of wine
nothing enlightened about that, i would call it totally ignorant. The real saying ought to be is that one who is enlightened sees no difference between these things, knowing they come from the same elements, but he certainly would not eat shit.
Thank you for addressing the paradox of global warming and enlightenment and fun with a capital F becasue fun is the key. Wish we could all be more fun becasue when we laugh we understand paradoxes. I am always be wary of the sombre and the serious your humour reflects your insight.
I am surprised so many do not feel men and women express and understand the same concepts in different ways. Compare Zen (cold climate) to Hindu practices (warm climate). Zen tends to be more sterile, less colorful than Hinduism, but they both aim for the same goal. I don't think the point was women cannot reach the same state as men by staring at a wall, but that more women would choose a different practice, perhaps one more colorful.
actually they done look for the same goal. Zen is impersonal as far as I know, meaning they dont believe in God. Hinduism is personal they believe in Krishna as fountain head of all other minor gods which handle the affairs of the universe.
Your entirely wrong on this one! There are 6 branches of Hindu philosophy, one of which is Vedanta (one of the other branches is vaisheshika =agnosticism). Vedanta has further 6 categories viz Advaita(non-duality), Dvaita(duality), VishishtaAdvaita (a particualr type of non-duality) and Achintya BhedaBhava are the popular 4. Only those who beilieve in Achintya Bhedabhav consider Krishna as the fountainhead. So please do your research before posting irresponsible comments.
This unflappable wall is a gender stereotype and that image or expectation that women stay loving to rescue fallen men is also a stereotype. Buddha talked about four immeasurables or four sublime states that is not gender-bound. Equanimity is always to be sustained by unbounded love, compassion and joy, so that 8 hours unflappability is OK for taming your mind, dangereous for real world relationships and situations.
he is seeing, feeling and expressing where he is and what he thinks he is by projecting these onto the universe. It is his "stuff" nothing more, nothing less.
the measure of any person is their centeredness,...the ability to hold a space as a result of the practice of meditation has nothing to do with gender...then what does homosexual enlightenment look like...or transgender enlightenment. sorry ken.you missed the best answer.
ken drops the ball on this one...to label enlightenment as buddhist or pagan, male or female is then not enlightenment which transcends all these pie slicing modes.not his best response...
all persons who meditate ultimately achieve both states of equinimity and states of loving till it hurts...sex has nothing to do with it....saddhus are traditionally male and anorexic and st francis loved until it hurt (stigmata)
i think he wears those glasses that shade automatically depending on the light in the room. i imagine florescent lights really affect them. ken wilber is one of the greatest intellectuals of our time. that doesn't mean he is enlightened. if you see his ego, kiss it, just like the wounds of a leper.
the guy takes a while to get plugged into but once you're there it's a frickin awesome trip. He really provides a framework to work with different people at different levels and types. Kick ass.
I care less and less for what he says, but his hand gestures have me coming back for more.

whos to say men invented meditation? thats really an unfounded fact. There are and have been many female mystics. The goddess cult was in existence, far long than christianity
artistickone 1 year ago

If you think about it . . . that simply can't be true.
greenrate 2 years ago
Ken Wilber hasn't had unsuccesful marital relationships as of yet. :) Currently he is married (third time), and has a lot of friends. His second wife is one of his best friends, who is now married to the local (state of Colorado) singer/artist Stuart Davis. His (Wilber's) first wife is also his good friend. His second wife, unfortunately fell victim to breast cancer, based on which he wrote a long book detailing their 5 year ordeal. Yet I disagree with some of Wilber's theories, but not much.

the measure of a man is his unflappability - but this comes not from hardening and defending against painful thoughts, emotions and experiences but by being willing to experience it all.
Seems to me that this is not so different from the 'love until it hurts' approach which Ken describes as the feminine approach.
claudelebel55 2 years ago 7
@claudelebel55
The realized Masculine emphasizes manifestation of The-One-in-the-Many.
The realized Feminine emphasizes manifestation of The-Many-in-the-One.
They both have realized the One . . . and both have realized the Many. But their tendency to manifest either is different -- and complementary.
The difference is rooted in different innate neuro-physiological capacities: Women are inclined to multiply thoughts, emotions, and experiences . . . and Men to unify them.
greenrate 1 year ago
@claudelebel55 that's exactly right, it's not very different at all. The difference is only in the practice.

Look what you can buy on Ken's website!
"Integral Life Practice Starter Kit
The Integral Life Practice Starter Kit presents the simplest, most effective practice that you can do to wake up. Some have even mistaken its straightforward audio and video instruction as enlightenment-in-a-box!"
Holy shit, that is shameless. All I have to say is HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
mogli702 3 years ago
Actually, you're conveniently overlooking a critical word: "mistaken" -i.e., Ken's acknowledgment that it's NOT enlightenment in a box.
Sharpen your reading comprehension.
Imperativism 3 years ago
I actually didn't overlook it, but thanks for pointing that out: I know he wouldn't CALL it enlightenment-in-a-box, but in the context he's still using that to sell the product!! Do you disagree? The previous sentence supports my point that he loves the fact that people "mistake" it for that: "the simplest, most effective practice that you can do to wake up." This is absolutely ridiculous. If you could buy your way into heaven this would be a very different world.
mogli702 3 years ago
I own the ILP Starter KIt. It does in fact contain an effective practice that can help you wake up. What does all this have to do with buying your way into heaven? The KIt has been rendered slightly out dated with the publication on Integral Life Practice but the DVDs on Genpo Roshi's Big Mind, along with the 3 Body Workout are outstanding. The 3-2-1 Shadow Module can be done without the DVD but I am grateful for its inclusion and I recommend the Kit to anyone just getting started with ILP.
kayumochi 3 years ago
So maybe it is somehow improving your quality of life, but that has absolutely nothing to do with truth, or what you call "waking up". But if it makes you feel good, knock yourself out.
mogli702 3 years ago
I am curious as why you expend so much energy attacking something you clearly not familiar with.
kayumochi 3 years ago
Um... if some of the comments made you "want cry", why is that? Is it because you might have an emotional attachment to something you desperately want to believe in? I'm just asking.
mogli702 3 years ago
Honestly, if you were familiar with Integral Theory at all you wouldn't have made the comments you have and we wouldn't be having this conversation. Integral Theory isn't something to "believe in," nor is it "truth." Integral Theory is a map. And as Wilber often says, a map is not the territory. Integral Theory is now being taught in universities, is being applied in big business and non-profits alike and has even made its way into medicine.
mikeneko530 3 years ago

He is selling something he doesn't have.
mogli702 3 years ago
mother Teresa gave her life for others, say what ever you want, but in the end she gave her entire life to help others... if you think a person that´s able to express such unconditional love to the needed is still a bad example of a good person then your opinion should not be taken seriously. ...to a state of oneness and good, people would rather live in a good world right? although compared to the whole the individual is insignificant but the whole couldnt evolve without the individual, we the individuals are learning how not to be through trial and error. a bit like you learn not to play with matches because you burn yourself, humanity as a whole needs individuals in order to learn and evolve and be a race of loving compationate humble and honnest people.

heres an idea for you, imagine a red block this block is humanity as a whole, now zoom in slightly and see billions of dots that make up the whole, these dots are individuals, now the comunication and reproduction between these dots allows the whole to expand, due to the interactions of hundreds of individuals the form of the whole changes, humanity as a whole is steadily learning right from wrong good from bad, even down to things like materialism. eventualy humanity as a whole will evolve...

my understanding is Mother Teresa WASN'T enlightened, and the church wanted to repress her private letters which exposed her desire of yet lack of direct experience of God... and where she said, If she'd known where it would all end up, she would have left the first child on the street.
Christianity confuses suffering and sacrifice with love and Wilber tends to do the same.
In reality, as Osho and Jeshua have both said, If it hurts, it ISN'T love. Attachments, needs, concepts hurt... not love.

How far can we enumerate the infinite variety of Sri Krsna's qualities such as these? They contradict each other, and yet they are eternally and beautifully present without opposition or conflict in His svarupa (form), His abode, and in the various paraphernalia related to Him. This is the inconceivable nature of His sakti.
devarsi 3 years ago
I love these spiritual battles! You two are entertaining as hell!!
startripping 3 years ago
These are important subjects, life is meant 4 self realization. First we have to know what the self is, then inquire about how to realize it. I dont agree that everything is one only and that makes it two already. You see individuality is present everywhere and so r qualities like mercy and love which r personal and individual, but our mercy & love is limited and conditioned, we r struggling with our minds, our bodies and senses, relationships egos, taxman, the law eg and think we r God amazing huu?
devarsi 3 years ago
Similarly, at one and the same time, He possesses all qualities (savisesa), and yet He has no qualities (nirvisesa); He is acintya (inconceivable), and full of rasa; He is both limited and limitless; He is very far away, and very close by; He is unaffected (nirvikara), and yet He is afraid of the mana (sulking mood or apparent anger) of the gopis.
devarsi 3 years ago
Even though Sri Krsna has the most beautiful form (rupa), He is formless (arupa); He has a transcendental murti (form), but He is present everywhere; He is always active, and yet, being unaffected, He performs no karma; He is the son of Nanda Maharaja, although He is unborn; He is simply a cowherd boy, although He is worshipped by all others; and He has a human-like form and bhava, although He is omniscient.
devarsi 3 years ago
These topics can be understood in isolation from each other, but their relationships are inconceivable. In the material world, because opposite qualities have the inherent tendency to annihilate each other, principles that are mutually opposed cannot be present together at the same place. However, Sri Krsna's sakti has such inconceivable power that in the spiritual world it manifests all the mutually opposing qualities together at the same time and in a very wonderful and beautiful manner.

we cant possible be one,In fact we can not even see beyond the four walls we are sitting in.

In theory yes , maybe -but it seems that rather than having a simple experience of love/compassion through sincere and earnest letting go , many people just think you learn to say all the right things and it becomes true.
azulra 4 years ago
hey just read your comment, thanks.see some of my videos about oneness. They think they r one with everything, some think I am you and you are me, others think we r all god, its a mad world out there. They can not explain individuality, if all is one how come everyone feels individual? that experience should not even exist if all is one, so they cover it u with flowery lofty language
devarsi 3 years ago
Words ore utterly empty. If you have had a glimpse of the Union or Oneness state, not as idea or mind trip but as experience, then you know utterly that it is not an installed idea. The small experience I have had (small indeed) was quite different than anything I had imagined by hearing such an idea. If you haven't experienced such yet I know this probably doesn't help much.
sjatkins 4 years ago
Oneness experience is temporary, because u can not stay there and only memory remains. The absolute truth has to be both,a person as well as energy, otherwise it can not becalled absolute.Wer 1 with god in quality, but not in quantity, He is big & we r small, we r small individual particles of consciousness experiencing ourselves within Gods all pervading super consciousness hence our individuality experience. The mistake is to think that we r the all pervading energy surrounding us.create an egg :-)
devarsi 3 years ago
What you refer to is "omnipotence", or unlimited power, not "Oneness". Oneness does not imply that you know everything that every other separate individual knows in the relative world. That's just remaining separate and knowing everything.
ddj333 3 years ago
explain how the oneness became individual , its obviously not an illusion, everyone experiences separate individualconsciousness, even those who think they are one are individual.

HA!
devarsi 4 years ago
you misunderstand. the black and white the wrong and right and the up and down are all part of our one perception. There is only one. We are all part of the one equation of God. there is no god making things happen because god is the things happening. One god and we fit in that equation.
axiomatic666 4 years ago
We fit well into this equation? ok so if you are god then do something godlike, but you cant, you cant even stop going to the toilet, what to speak of creating a planet or a universe. If everything is one, then explain diversity and especially individuality. So I dont agree this makes it two already.
The real concept is: everything is inconceivably one and different in the same time. The one who is one, is God, but we are parts within.
devarsi 4 years ago
Yeah we are parts of God. God isn't a noun some big bearded man in the sky. god is a verb. not a noun. Our diversity isn't seperate from God. Hey no debate I think we see eye to eye. We are all one and different at the same time I agree with that. A mystic doesn't look for god he or she swims in the atmosphere of God. PEACE>>>

I am surprised so many do not feel men and women express and understand the same concepts in different ways. Compare Zen (cold climate) to Hindu practices (warm climate). Zen tends to be more sterile, less colorful than Hinduism, but they both aim for the same goal. I don't think the point was women cannot reach the same state as men by staring at a wall, but that more women would choose a different practice, perhaps one more colorful.
kjholton 4 years ago
actually they done look for the same goal. Zen is impersonal as far as I know, meaning they dont believe in God. Hinduism is personal they believe in Krishna as fountain head of all other minor gods which handle the affairs of the universe.
devarsi 4 years ago
