  • Why would he want to go to Macon? I live about 20 miles south of Macon and to be honest, its a pretty shitty place in general. Theres a reason its county's population dropped 7% in ten years. Its got all the negatives of a city but almost none of the positives.

  • @AmericanWardog Im from Eastman, youre probally Warner Robins, When i joined the Airforce i thought i would never go back. Now im up here in Nebraska thinking about how much i loved Hunting and Fishing all along the banks of the river, walking up and down the creeks for miles catching Red finned pike and Jack. Riding the dirt roads, and family. Macon the city itself sucks,

  • jamey should be president.2012,

  • this guy is just in the wrong decade if this was 20 to 40 years ago he would be the king of Nashville. but hey we need a TRUE country music singer in our decade so i am very pleased.

  • pretty much any song jamey says he's been a part of is a hit, even that crap he did with colt ford. only good part was the chorus when jj chimed in

  • jameuy johnson is what a real hero is. not what we see in a comic book, this guy has more talent in one finger then every other artist alive

  • my husband needs to hurry and get back to macon!!! he is deployed and i miss the crap out of him!

  • keep the outlaws in country !!!!

  • @IchBinPerfekt---

lol---I actually heard Jamey Johnson mentioned that in a interview awhile back that its suppose to be a play on words!

    So your correct!

  • @OneWayRawk That is correct. I have family in Macon and I asked them about it. They said it's a long-running joke there that's been around for generations.

  • outlaws are back...finally some real country music

  • brantley gilbert

  • hell ya outlaw country is back and kicking ass. play on jamey go boy we havent had a voice like yours sense waylon

  • Kid Rock helping country music? He's commercializing it in a way that George Strait and Garth never dreamed of trying. They at least have enough country elements to be country. It's Jamey Johnson, Eric Church, Josh Thompson, and Justin Moore who are doing great things for this genre.

  • @KJD6821 dont forget brantley gilbert

  • GREAT SONG!!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, JAMEY!!! THE NEXT COE, WILLIAMS, AND GOSDIN ROLLED ALL IN ONE!!!

  • Jamey Johnson is awesome!! Love to listen to him!

  • I just heard this on the radio. Best country song I've heard in a coon's age. I'd stopped listening to the country stations because of all the crap they play. This guy is the new Dwight! Gotta get back to Macon...

  • i youst 2 live in macon ga and i love jamey johnson

  • country breed, country feed, the real SOUTH

  • josh thompson and this legend are great

  • I can't wait until country music gets there shit together and plays Jayme Johnson and Eric Church a lot more on that radio...it's the only thing country music has left in reality, all these new guys are becoming more and more pop...I can't take it!!!

  • @codered1124 I quit listening to country when country went up town good to have some back :-)

  • Jamey Johnson is true country music! He also writes alot of his own stuff as well as George Straits and some other big names out there.

  • This is how real music sounds. Jamey's making sure country doesn't die. The few, the proud: OUTLAW COUNTRY! To hell with Nashville, 95% of it is filled with pop artists with a steel guitar.

  • A younger David Allen Coe

  • @gw7663 That was exactly what came to my mind as well.

  • Hell NO He is much better than that!!!!!!!

  • @gw7663 the wont ever be another DAC

  • If you love what Jamey does then check out some of our artists in Texas; Jason Boland & the Stragglers, Charlie and Bruce Robison, Reckless Kelly, Ryan Bingham & the Dead Horses... just to name a few.

  • Yep. He's somewhere between Jennings and Jones.Jamey Johnson, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Randy Houser. Please save us..... If you're tired of this 'boy band crap' that's now being called "country", and want to hear REAL country.... Give me a Hell Yea!!!!!! Seriously.... Jessica Simpson? Rascle Flatts? Lady A.? If you love Country music and you live anywhere near Atlanta Ga. You know what I mean. I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!!!!!!!!!!! They have replaced Jennings, Jones & Cash with Lady Gaga.

  • Jamey is the real $hit... ain't never been to his storytelling? then go...

  • i don't compare him to the greats i think he i one of them and we are watching a living legend.

  • I'm not gonna go into some big paragraph about why I think this guy is great. If your watching this video you should already know how good he is!

  • I wonder if they're going to make an official video for this song...his new album came out sept 14th and not one word about it or one song on the cmt channel. Booooo

    Loooooove you Jamey

  • Eric Church can't come within miles of Jamey Johnson

  • Love his music, but random thought.... does anyone else think he looks eerily similar to JEB Stuart???

  • PLUMPER....he is already one of the greats.....he's not your yuppy kinda country singer and he ain't gonna attract many yuppy fans.....he is what modern country should be!!!!!! Jamey Johnson is the man!!! He makes sittin' on the porch drinkin beer, or out at the deer camp by a bonfire kind of music.....thats what he's all about

  • hell yeaaaaaaa!

  • lets say jamey is waylon jennings johnny cash willie nelson and kris kirstoffersen. he is singlhandedly brigning back outlaw country he is saving country music in a time when we need it most

  • i agree 123theseboots but dont forget jason aldean, easton corbin and justin moore its country singers like that keep country true to its roots fuck all this urban country crap now a days

  • This is One Bad ASS SONG!!!

  • it great

  • You Kick butt!!!!!!!

  • BAMF dont mess with this guy man he is going to be the biggest thing within the next 5 years guarenteed, this is real country music. If anyone doesnt like him you can get the hell out.

  • wow absolutly love him! way to go jamey!

  • I pre-ordered his new double CD from Amazon for $11.00. Wal Mart has it for the same price. Buy his music and go to his concerts. Screw main stream country and all the damn worthless radio stations that rarely play his music.

  • george strait needs to go ahead the torch to jamey, cause he is the only one that can carry it the right way

  • @123THESEBOOTS - Absolutely true without a doubt as to both artists - ancient souls both.

  • @123THESEBOOTS

Hank Williams III is saving music in general

  • LoL at George Jones in his shorts

  • Nashville has turned into a bunch of little girlyman faggots that highlight their hair, botox their faces, and look like they're trying to win a prize as the first inmate to get made a woman at the state Pen.

Jamey Johnson is a MAN'S MAN. Cash, Nelson, Coe, Waylon, Merle, Jones, Rich, Hank Sr, Van Sant, Duane Allman...he's cut from THEIR cloth.

He's a prideful son of the south that won't doll himself up for nobody, ain't gonna mince no words, and don't want your limo. He's American man.

  • in a few years i think jamey johnson will be one of the greats and we dont know it i think hes the new david alan coe/ hank jr.

  • @PLUMPER101 ----- Modern day WAYLON JENNINGS

  • @PLUMPER101 and Easton Corbin is going to be Alan Jackson/George Strait

  • @PLUMPER101 i think Jamey will be the next hank jr/David Allen Coe.

  • @PLUMPER101 davis allan coe for sure. i see more waylon in him too

  • He sounds a lot like Charlie Daniels in Long Haired Country Boy in this song, especially when he first starts singing

  • jj is the best. aint nothin like it.keep on keepin on.

  • most everybody in nashville these days should only be back up singers for jamey johnson, just like little big town at the cmts for this song

  • when i first heard this song when he did it live, i didn't like it too much. but now i love this song!!!

  • you gotta go to whiskey river, theres usually pretty nice ones there. and go to the Redneck Games in East Dublin on July 10th, its gonna be a great festival! My band Josh Daniel Band will be performing

  • @drumguy126 yeah man i have heard alot about whiskey river. i just moved from atlanta down to cordele and the only place to party here is cypress grill. planning on heading up there soon though

  • This is the best country song this year!

  • one of the best damn songwriters to come around in a long time!!!Brings back that good ole' country sound thats been lost in all this "pop" country coming out these days.

  • If this aint country nothing is

  • i live 20 minutes from macon, and man there are some sweet honeys here trust me! there are all the reasons to come! they are starting to rebuild macon to go back to the southern rock capital days when capricorn records was still going, they are rebuilding that recording studio now

  • @drumguy126 Man I hope so, Macon has been pretty ghetto for years now. I'm about 20 minutes out too. The last good thing to come outta there was the Allman Bros!

  • The best artist in country music hands down! I hope this is the direction country music is goin im tired of all this pussy shit on the radio!

  • Hell Yeah! I love this song. I live in Macon

  • Saw this dude at the CMT Awards play live. He was really damn good I gotta say.
