  • a bit hard and fast but great still!!

<3 to all piano players out there :D

  • I can play it betterand in its whole glory. give me 1200 dollars for a Yamaha-P155, and you're on.

  • @amrosik 70% of all thumb-ups are caused by just playing it on a piano. without piano70% would vanish without a trace.

  • aahh!! my hands are to small! and i commited myself to learning this...

  • @IAmMaarten hey maarten, how is the piano sound of your Yamaha P85? i planned to save up for a P155... but in dont know if that is necessary. it should have a realistic piano feeling.

  • it's rhythmically accurate people, he's just taking a bit more rubato than yann does. a few notes were off but i think he realizes that.

  • sounds like crap maybe 'cause of the camera or just 'cause you have a yamaha piano :s I don't know .. but still it's a good song. Some Mistakes and out of rythm a lot of times but you know nobody's perfect ;)

  • woooow! :)

  • Mistakes on the left hand .....!!!

  • this piece is soo beautiful in your hands! At a moment, i had almost the impression that it was yann tiersen who was playing! *-* sorry for the very bad english but i'm french ^^'. congratulation! :p

  • Presque aussi bien que l'originale !

  • meglio di mozart

  • Wow you can be so lucky having a damn nice piano... I wish I could have one of those... but lives hard I have to play on keyboard....

Nice played, but isn't it too short?

  • @hierlesen yamaha is .... not a great piano. japanese < european brands. But yeah surely better than a keyboard! Cheerios!

  • its flawless! I'm learning from some sheet music now but its never gonna be this good

    good job!

  • Des soucis rythmiques dans la partie harmonique, mais l'accentuation est assez bien réussie.

  • La migliore interpretazione!Senza parole!

  • Can you help me to find a partiture!beautiful performance

  • good job...!!! I play it in the moment. first I had problems with the matching of the two voices :S

  • PHANTASTIC! (=

  • like it more than Dave Thomases playin, u r really good in this)

  • If you want the sheet music, you can send me a personal message with your e-mail adress. If you do, i will send you the link of the sheet music. It's a transcription but it sounds the same as this version.

  • do you have the sheet music?

  • @LuvAnnie I have it. I don't know why but i can't put the link in a reaction so you can send me a personal message with your e-mail adress. I send you the link if you do that. If other people want it too, they can send me also a personal message with their e-mail. I send you the link of a transcription but it sounds almost the same as this version.

  • i finally learned the song! great vid! btw check my channel for my version of rue de cascades:D

  • Great song and excellent performance !

  • LOVE the piano sound in this vid. my keyboard just does not come close to this sound!

  • very nice!

  • Good!! I love this song :)

  • I would be very happy if i could play piano like you play.

  • you're leaving out half the chords in the right hand.........

  • @krazykoo2 right

  • Oh wow, that's really awesome... you make me want to try that out as well, and I might... Also, it's recorded really clear! Better than some recordings of people I've heard. :)

    Great performance, keep going! :D

  • the piano is great..the piece too..and you can play the piece very good

  • well done.

  • This is amazing...

  • How much time did you need to learn it?

  • @Reemster28 i took a two days to learn the first two pages :O my fingers are short :X

  • @Reemster28 I think it took a small week

  • @fubukitsunami

haha don't make me laugh =D about a small week fuck off

  • @fubukitsunami... a small week? hahahahaha thats ridiculous

  • @karahayleykara you know a week has 168 hours? Maybe he has no life besides this...

  • @fubukitsunami take more time next time and stop raping the keyboard

  • @fubukitsunami only a week??! waw, awesome!! for me, it took 2 months :'(...

  • @fubukitsunami is there a big week and a small week ?

  • @Reemster28 Me i think it took 2/3 hours. a " small week " it's a lot !

  • Not a perfect cover but almost! Very nice man!

  • it's awesome!

    well done :]

  • Comment removed

  • You play it beautifuul ! I hope I will learn this song

  • very well done

  • WOW SUPER KEEP PLAYING XX

  • Really awesome (:

  • Haha thank you very much ! ^^

  • you played it by ear, there is a different, but good job! keep it on! watch to my piano videos and please comment :-)

  • Best cover on youtube :)

  • @Obyschick check out dave thomas's... its a run for this guys money

  • @jztheriot I found Dave Thomas soon after I commented on this, and he is ah-mazing, for sure. I love Amélie and DT does alot of the songs from that movie. I like the piano in this versus the keyboard that Dave Thomas is using, but Dave Thomas has definitely got talent. But this cover is really really good in my opinion =]

  • @Obyschick mhm... im with you... and i wanna see the movie... it looks pretttty great

  • Dave Thomas is sure awesomely talented, I'm a humble amateur ^^

Thank you for the comments though !

  • SUPERRRRR !!!!!

  • How did you learn it?

With the book Rue des cascades?

  • can someone please tell me where i can get sheet music for this?

  • That was awesome.

At the end I litrally expected to hear clapping.

    Kinda disappointing when I didn't...

  • Your right hand started to fade after 0:18.

Dynamics at those hand angles are tricky, but it sounds like the theme just started to run out of breath.

  • I am so incredibly jealous of your piano! I would give anything to play on a beautiful Yamaha such as that!

As for your playing, A+ quality! Thanks for the video.

  • ya la aprendi ^^

  • i love it , but to play it like really heartbreakingly , u have to need a perfect piano with perfect sound , but i love it , lovelove love . its so beautiful ! where did u get notes ?

  • I mean the most things are good, but not the rythms in the 'main melody'.

  • Thats's good because you play at in your own way and just don't copy Yann.

  • good job man! really like it!! thanks

  • Love this song...you play so beautiful...Amazing

  • amazing, I wish I had that kind of talent

  • Thank you very much for this particularly elaborated comment. I shall live a better life now.

  • @fubukitsunami Don't you just love incomplete senseless sentences haha. By the way, you are an amazing pianist!!! I look forward to hearing more from you

  • @fubukitsunami

sorry i accidentally voted your comment down and can't undo it. your rythm in this song is spot-on, just as Yann Tiersen intended it, I'm sure. Great job, man!

  • @fubukitsunami Bad rythms.

  • So make it better in your own way, as for me, it's a talented person's work. Great work. {:

  • @Jensbolte thats the rythm of the song. its not bad its just the way the song is played

  • @Jensbolte Bah, you would do it better? :/

  • Had anyone the notes . Can anyone send them by email. I love this song!<3

  • Nice one. some funky timings at 0:31, which I think is a bit off, but otherwise perfect :)

  • wow beautiful !!!!!

  • @doof123:

yes you r right... there are a lil mistakes at the beginning and between 1:11 and 1:20...

im playing the song myself. so i know how to play the original ;)

  • you need a bit more timing, and i'm not sure but i think there were some mistakes,...about 1:20 -1:30 and at the beginning.

but nice skills, i like the song, i play it, too

  • how do you use the pedal? =)

I have some trouble using it, i dont know when

  • for the first part dont use the bedal except when i'm doing the C# E C# then i hold it. then that first part repeats and i do the smae, no pecal except for the C# E C#

then for the second part (i'm still before the cords section)... you know how it goes D# G# B and it does it 4 times then it goes toD# F# B 4 times and thenD# F# A 4 times and then C# E G# 4 times, i use the pedal for the last 2 times playing each three notes... hope it helps...

  • you didnt play the whole thing... the ending is like the coolest part and you missed out on it.

  • Wooooooooooow!! You're damn good!!

  • ☆☆☆☆☆

  • magnifique

  • Isn't it A and not F sharp in the beginning intro part at the first wave?

  • Yep it is :)

  • i was wondering why it heard that different, but i like it this way.

  • my sheet music says F# on it.

  • bravo!!!!

  • I also play the same piece on a Yamaya U1.

That's the same or almost the same piano you use. It sounds very similar. I noticed my yamaha is quite a bit more "dark & heavy" in lower notes then most piano's. I thought maybe it was just my piano, but yours sounds exactly like it.

  • Hi, thanks for your comment ^.^

Mine is a Yamaha U3, but it sounds probably the same in lower notes as you said.

  • I have a U1 too. I think the sound of my piano is a bit bit bit lighter! It could whether or not the piano is tuned!

  • Yeah.. It's fine played. But you need to learn some dynamics. Have fun!

  • existe cierta descompensacion i descordinacion entre izkierda i derecha amigo! en todo caso! rpecioso! i muii bien! es dificilisima!

  • awesome, i only aim to make you better when i criticize but you need to learn to play at different volumes, layer the two hands so that the lead (higher notes) is louder and also stagger how hard you hit the lower notes. it will improve how well that sounds by a lot.

  • good job!!! very nice...

  • i will post a whole video of rue de cascades just need to buy a new camera the video will be long 5.32 min like the video of live rue de cascades his whole video

  • notice how he said in his vid description that he transcrived i himself. I bought a book that sia dit had "Rue des cascades" but all it had was piece titel comptine det N¥1, 2,3 etc...

I believe this song is actually an improvisation by Yann Tierson in a live concert. Hope thats helpful; trying to learn this song from videos, its amazing.

  • can u tell me where did u fond the partiture ? i´ll thank u . im a little desesperate cause i don´t find it anywhere =/

  • just google:

    rue de cascades

  • wonderful!

  • The video is just too short... It ends right where my favorite part begins...

But from what I heard, I can tell you're a very very good pianist. Thank you for posting this vid, it really made me stop and listen...

Yann Tiersen IS a genius, but still you played the music of a genius very beautifully...

  • very nice ... sounds really goood :) i love it, and i will try to play it as well:)

  • bel pigiama

  • great =) !!!

  • good job!!

  • Awesome. I'm memorizing this song right now, and its surprisingly short and easy to memorize, but its fast and sounds wonderful

  • Thank you for your comment.

However, I wonder if a piece MUST be performed EXACTLY the way the autor wrote and played it...

I like to think of the basic sheet as a support to express something which comes from our own "heart". =)

  • you are right..

  • Dave Thomas doesn't play by ear, he has sheet music too, just played the sons so often that he knows how. He's a great piano player, but this fubukitsunami is fantastic too. I like the sound of the Yamaha, better than an electronic piano.

Keep up the good work fubukitsunami!!

  • nice =) really really nice!

    good work!

    greez from vienna

  • I like the way your piano sounds. You should play the whole song....if you know it

  • could somebody send me the sheets please ?

  • I have them if you want ^_^

  • You're great !

    I love this piece

  • Not as good as Dave Thomas :)

  • what are you talking about this guy kicks dave thomas' ass, i hate dave's improvisations, and its not nice to say things like that on some else's performance page. If you don't have anything nice to see, don't say it. Says more about your piano talent - or lackthereof - than anything else.

  • Wahh I'm just saying.

    Don't get me wrong,

    this video is amazing.

    It's in my favorites, actually.

  • magnifique

en plus j'adore le son de ton piano

    superbe vraiment!

  • Merci beaucoup ! ^.^

J'ai toujours aimé le son des Yamaha moi aussi ! :)

  • how long does it take to play it like u do ???

i can just say it again .. and again...

    aaamaazziing :)

  • Thank you very much ! ^^

I think it took me something like 2-3 weeks, but I'm sure we can learn it faster if you practice more often than I did (I did 15min a day maybe, I'm kind of lazy... :p)

  • I love your piano!.

    very clean!.

    5/5.

  • no words ! that's yann tiersen and it is enought! he's huge and unique. love it.

  • I want the sheet music too =(.

  • i loove this sooong !!!!

do anyone know where i could get the notes for this song ???

    my icq: 307981404

    would be awesome !!!

    <3

  • you can download it from e-mule searching "rue de cascades la parade"

  • can you send me the score pleaseeeeee???
