Protip: If you have homebrew that lets you back up saves, just keep redoing it. When it runs out, restore the old save. Apparently they are gay and don't let you copy in the bios, but homebrew lets you. :D

And you can hex edit the ISO then burn it to get celebi from a US save file.

Answer: there has never been a celibi event in north america so the only way to get one here is by using an action replay ( hacked) or trade for a Japanese celibi. I don't think there is such a thing as " illegal" celibi but the only way to get a " legit" one is to trade for a japanese one or do what this guy did.

I would love to do this. Plus, I've been seeing the Japanese copies of these games cheap online. It seems like an opportune time. I just so happen to own Freeloader, as it was packaged with the Action Replay I bought long ago. I only worry if that wouldn't be considered a legit way to play the game, having to use the Freeloader and what not. But I guess that's just being nit picky. Hey, thanks for posting this, I just found out about this disc and immediately started looking for it. I found 1 on ebay, and am most likely buying it, along with a spice orange gamecube and japanese emerald/ruby on play asia. However, I can't seem to find a japanese colosseum... any suggestions?

Also, I'm wondering about the emerald version compatability with the disc. are you sure it works? cuz on the american one with jirachi only ruby and sapphire work.

It is alot easier to get one off the GTS, though celebi are very rare to find there.

No, it really is weak. The stats are just above average, the move pool is shallow and the typing is abysmal. It can get KO'd by anything carrying a bug attack. Mew, Manaphy and Jirachi are just as weak but Mew has the biggest movepool in the game, making it an instant gangsta and Jirachi has a typing that's really hard to get around and a more decent movepool. Manaphy's type and movepool also makes it a contender. Celebi is just sad.

The only english website that sells the bonus disc is ebay, they go for $200+.

And only the Japanese version give you a celebi, the US one gives out jirachi.

just enable the find celebi in the wild cheat and transfer it to your pokemon coliseum and viola! celebi is ours.

I practically cheated my way to getting Jirachi in US Bonus disc, I burn't my own copy and placed it into the wii and jus used it on my sapphire like nothing (Note my Wii is SoftModded with Gamecube Backup Launcher)

Hi there, to your thinking if the bonus disc has it's own RNG, no, the disc doesn't have an RNG, the thing is. It all depends when you saved the GBA game. The GBA has a RNG yea, and when you saved the game, it saved with it as well. Since you didn't turn on your GBA in the normal way to play/continue, the old RNG is loaded as well when you connect your GBA Pokemon game with the Bonus Disc. The Jirachi Bonus Disc works same way. I tested that myself. =]

If you aree talking about the Japanese versions then yes, to both of your questions. Firered you must return both the ruby and sapphire to Celio, Sapphire you must beat the elite 4.

I payed about $200 for the bonus disc without shipping/insurance included already. Not bad if you really wanted it especially since they don't pop up very often. Then I bought JP Emerald, a freeloader, link cable, GBA SP and charger, Japanese Colosseum, and another memory card.

Good grief...that's so much work for just one Pokemon...and even when you get it, you don't get to reset for a good one...I'd much rather get one through Mystery Gift in D/P/P.

But they haven't done it that way, so Celebi's the only Pokemon I don't have or can't get myself other than Arceus. I got a trustworthy friend to trade me his extra from the 10th Anniv. event, but even then, he might have cloned it (even though he seemed truly honest he hadn't).

Still, this is the only surefire way

Wow i think 49 is enough Celebi lol. I still need to purify about 27 or so pokemon on my colosseum before i can get ho-oh (also have to beat mt. battle). It's boring purifying lol, but i want a legit ho-oh. Also, I'm currently SRing for shiny Charmander on LG (4150 SRs so far), hatching Magikarp eggs on Pearl for a shiny (780 eggs so far), and once i get to Dialga on my 2nd Diamond I will definitely SR for the green beauty ^^
