@seanhalleyguitar Is there a way to set up an expression pedal with the GCPro to control wah on the 11R where you DONT have to click a switch to get it to turn on? Like just start rocking on it and it starts working (think Morley Wah pedals). I just got my 11R yesterday, it's fantastic, and I'm getting the GCPro eventually for live use, but don't much care for the idea of hitting a switch and then jumping over to the expression pedal and then having to jump back to a switch. Is it Possible???
Hi Sean, Love your work man. you are a great player and explainer and have really helped me with getting my Ground Control/Eleven Rack setup working like a dream. I've noticed in this vid, when you lift up the ground control to show where the Exp Pedals go, that there is no power supply connected. How are you powering the Ground Control? Phantom via midi cable? Please help as I'd love to ditch my power supply and clean up my setup. Cheers, Phil
My most recent attempt (10 mins ago, lol) was to set it up in rig I1, the SW2 blinks and I save it and when I step on the pedal the position on 11r screen goes from "10" to "0.0" and stays in this position, even though I continue to rock the pedal.
I know the pedal works because I use it on another effect I have and it works perfect for it.
If you or anyone for that matter could give me some guidance it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any help.
If you look on the rig layout page, scroll all the way over to the right side of the pedalboard - to the PEDAL module (just one left of the METERS slot). You can set the pedal to do one of four things, but just set it to WAH for this.
At that point you need to make sure that the Wah isn't bypassed in your patch, and then you can get your Isaac Hayes on :-)
Hey Sean, I have the Roland EV-5 Expression pedal and I just cannot get it to work the Wah on my 11R. I've followed each step in the manual, searched on Google & searched numerous user forums (including Avid and their FAQ), but to no avail, I do not use Midi or a Midi controller, but if I understand what I am reading, I don't have to use it to control the wah.
That multi feature is brilliant. I never thought before of how easy it is to take advantage of the software like that, to glide between settings like having realtime automation. The possibilities suddenly leap up for new sounds and performance capabilities.
no problemo! A lot of guys like the 500L from Roland, and you could use one of the Ernie Balls with a Y cable without too much trouble. I saw a prototype of a new UNBELIEVABLE pedal from a company that I can't mention that is coming out soon, so watch the news boards :)
I went out and got the Roland EV-5 at GC today and got the Wah working! The only thing I didn't get to work is the simple on/off. I did it with the other Instant Access buttons so I just have to review the manual again. Thanks again for the video. I will definitely refer to it in the future.
No actually - I built a little box that connects between the two, sending power from the adapter down the cable to the GCPro, but not sending it to the 11R MIDI Input.. That way, the adapter can be in rack with the 11R.
@seanhalleyguitar Sorry mate just posted the power question and saw you've already answered it. Are you able to explain how you created your power box thing. Sounds like exactly what I'd like to do with mine.

are those cleans from the Eleven rack only or you have it through an amp?
orpheus06 1 year ago
@orpheus06 - yup - all of the sounds you hear are from the 11R itself, as no real amps were harmed in the making of this video :-)

Thanks so much for this video. Could you recommend an expression pedal that is a little more rugged?
