i wish modern cars still had this much character and this friendly to fellow hard drivers, just the engine, manual trans and the rubber on the road is all u need! i get close to crying that im stuck in this shitty era for my number 1 love cars tiptronic? that transmission should be put in a garbage heap, its unsafe, unpredictable not to mention what if thecomputer fucks up while ur at 240 km headed to a sharp corner when u need the engine brake and it doesnt gear down.. u r FUCKED..
@justy2714 "Tiptronic" is not a completely different type of gearbox, just a Porsche trademark name for a type of torque-converter automatic that has a manual override option. As it is essentially just an automatic gearbox there is no reason why it would be any less reliable. This type of selectable auto gearbox is used by around 40 different brands. Why would so many companies adopt this technology if it was unsafe?

@veyronman i have a lot of experience with it, i drive a lot of new cars, some with the sticker still a lot, in my personal experiences.. its just.. stupid, u NEED a clutch at a cars limit, some videos of more "certified" drivers, their driviing with them they show how they trully feel, as ive seen videos even of schumacher n he plays a little bit, he goes into the grass as hes doing a 180, its because there was no clutch. but hes pad to say he loves it, its a driver viewing a driver.
This was the year Ford got the Capri to actually finish a season(winning the Driver's Title in Grp2), had to get English engineers to help the Germans figure out how to keep a production based engine in one piece! Awesome looking Capris, way cool!
@zapwatt this is a name I picked for a forum I joined over 10 years ago (whilst the Veyron was still a concept), and have stuck with on various websites since.
Thankfully it turned out to be the fastest road car ever produced. fail? I'm not certain you're right.
