I knew of a lady who's Siamese Cat "Mr. Prince" who did that. Blew me away when I finally saw him do it. and THAT was way back in 1973! She couldn't wait til he had to crap...and rushed me in to watch. Never seen anything like that before and Mr. Prince didn't skip a beat because we were watching. I was then waiting for his ass to FLUSH the damn toilet! Alas, but his paws couldn't reach...so she had to finish the job! It was thee funniest thing I'd ever saw. Glad to know others can do it too!

Don't worry about comments regarding the parasite that a cat may or may not have (not all have the parasite toxoplasmosis). Many humans, more than are aware, also have parasitic organisms that come out through the feces, which is why washing hands is so vital.  It is estimated that 80-90% of people (even in America) have a parasite of some kind without their knowledge. That being said, there are many more human parasites then cat parasites being flushed down the toilet.

The only way this would be harmful to any species is if the cat is infected with the parasite that causes toxoplasmosis. That's only contracted if the cat eats infected meat or some other infected food. If YOU aren't getting sick, chances are your cat isn't infected because people can get toxoplasmosis as well. If your cat isn't sick you can flush all the shit you want and it won't hurt

Yes it is cool to train your cat to do that. but, it is terribly gross to share the same toilet with a cat. The litterbox is for cats, the toilet is for humans. and trust me, it would be worse the other way around.lol.

@Neodroidx I don't see how it is gross. If the cat is no longer using a litter box, the cats paws should be considerably clean, given how much a cat actually cleans itself.

Also consider how dirty our asses are, sweating, confined in undergarments under other outerwear. Not to mention all the other dirty human asses that grace the same plastic as we do. Public toilets are a glaring issue as well. Don't be so hard on a cat because at one point or another before using a toilet, they stood in poo.

I was thinking of that while watching the video. Cats have this natural instinct to try to bury their stuff. So when they go in a toilet, their paws wiggle and move as if they were trying to bury it. It's weird for the cat, they can't help but try to bury the stuff even tho it's in the toilet.  Instict overrules all!
