  • I have been trying for a month and I still can not get it any tips?

  • am not the best gymnast but i whacht and tryed so many youtube thing, but i still can not do it:/ but i don'nt know why? any tips?

  • I still can't do it:(

  • I still can't do it :(

  • It helps for even ppl hu can do gymnastics !!! :P lol

  • srry it did not help

  • whenever i start going up my feet touch the ground?? help! how do i make them not touch

    thanks

  • Didn't like it as I'd say it *describes* how to do this rather than *teaches* what to do. It tells you that you push up - OK, so if you can't then what do you do to fill the gap between now when you can't and the day you can? Reps is not the answer if you cannot do it at all! No reference to finding best balance points, where your hips should be in relation to hands, shoulders, just do this, then you do this.

  • dnt mean to be mean but its not the best one becuz we dnt even se u tchun us

    soo :/

  • it helps but i can already do it?

  • I have been working on this for about 1 year and a half now and i cant get my hips up high enough to press up to handstand, do you have any tips on how to get up? I have really long legs but I have longish arms too. Would long legs stop you from getting up to handstand or will it just be harder ? P.S i can come down from the handstand to the straddle position and hold it without my feet touching the ground. thanks

  • it hurts i dont get how u g up o a handstand next time put a vid but it helped me a little

  • I just don't understand all the people who dislike this video, that seems to be helpful for gymnasts learning the press handstand. I'm not a gymnast but I like it. I'm jealous, would like to do it on my own. :)

  • ok how do u get into straddle on ur hands...

  • @minkyrules That's my problem. I can never roll my hips forward enough lol hence I can't straddle up into the handstand :(.

  • WHATS THE NAME OF THE BACKING TRACK?

    I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT :)

  • Is it harder to do a handstand from a standing position, or a press handstand? Because from a standing position, you swing forward into the ground and your momentum is moving forward. and in a press handstand, everything is going slow and in control

  • @MrTubeeer99 from standing, you don't need much shoulder straight- press handstands are so hard because of the immense shoulder strength required to rotate round like that, along with the balance!

  • @MrTubeeer99 Press. You require alot more strength with a press handstand. From a standing position, you're effectively only performing the 2nd part of the press handstand.

  • this is really darn easy!!!!!!!!!! NOTTTTTTT

  • Thumbs up if your sitting back on your chair and watching this.

  • All gymnasts does on a bar, a bboy does it on the floor. Check out boomerang spin.

  • I can do all the gymnastic stuff and I'm really good at it in school I'm in gymnastics squad A! And thx for the video! It's been a great help! (:

  • i can do a raised straddle, and a handstand, but the combination is too dang difficult D: anyone else think so to?

  • I can't even get my ass off the ground never mind my legs and I'm pretty damn strong and flexible! I just can't do it!

  • Im pretty sure I was just in the raised straddle position for 10 minutes before I could pull myself into the actual handstand.. and then fell..hahah(:

  • Comment removed

  • I Did It!!! <3 Woo Hooo!!!

  • It really is good advice now my 4 year old sister can do it I already knew how

  • i finally got mine but this video didnt help much

  • @OliviaSarah2011 oh :D ha ha :P

  • i go to gymnastics thanks for the tips

  • 0:59 is that an orb by her leg or just the light?

  • this is good, but if you know how, it still doesn't give you the strength to do it, so it didn't make me get it.

  • i thort u dont practice with bent arms cause' then u get the habbit of bending ur arms lol

  • i have wanted to be able to do this for so long but i just cant do it. . this might be my last year in gymnastics and at the moment we are finished for 3 months (my club is voluntary and they dont train during the summer) and i want to be able to do this when i get back. . any more tips at all?

  • this is way harder than it looks

  • what the heck is a glute???!!

  • I can do it but only up high like on a vault or summ but I can't do it on the ground :(

  • the tip about starting in a push up position an kicking up is really helpfull i can do a tuck press handstand as in similar to straddle but you tuck up and then stretch out but for this i dont think im strong enough yet any advice?

I WOULD LOVE LOVE LOOOVE IF YOU GUYS SEND ME A MESSAGE IF YOU HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS, AND I WOULD GET BACK TO YOU AS SOON AS I CAN!!! I PROMISE :)!! <3 DANCELIFE450

  • You left out that its WAAAYY harder to learn this as you get older and your body grows. Im 13 , 5 foot 4 .

Im a level 6 gymnast, really strong, but because of my height and age itll be REALLY hard for me to learn this .

  • @Kim1297 excuses, excuses. and no one expects you to ever be able to do that, at a level 4, which is the level you are really at

  • @Kim1297 It is indeed harder due to size limits, but it is possible for a person as tall as 5'7 and both 130 lbs to do this exercise simply because they have the strength and flexibility to do it. it's all about strength in this exercise, nothing can limit you no matter how big you are unless your body isnt strong enough to carry your own body weight.

  • im a strong gymnast but i cant seem to get this uhhh fail

  • @gymnasticsgurl2008 Do you have any specific questions? because i would gladly help you.

  • @dancelife450 my problem is that I just can't get my legs up to a hand stand

  • So, how long do you think it would take me to get it? I can do cartwheels, handstands, cant do splits but nearly there, can bend over into bridge, not that flexible but i get by.

    How long approximately?

    Thanks =P -x

  • @XxbubblegumxX1 it could taste as long as a day or two, a month ir to, or a year or two. it all depends on the person

  • @dancelife450 Taste?? lol.

  • @XxbubblegumxX1 i can guarantee that you need alot of muscle strength for this you can try it with your back against a wall instead on begining at a stradle sit begin with your legs apart and reach for your toes like how you do with stratching when bent over make sure to be leaning with your back against the wall( dont put your hands right against the wall bring them out a little to your comfort) without jumping squeee your muscles and try to bring your legs up to a handstand.

  • @XxbubblegumxX1 once you get that down you start to try without the wall (have someone help for balance). after that then try from straddle sit. make sure to warm up and stretch before. and it will deffintaly help if you work out to build up muscle strength.

  • @XxbubblegumxX1 ive been in gymnastics for 4 years and i still cant get it

  • does anyone know which video she got the picture at 1:19 from?

  • there is actully no way of teaching it to someone because they need strength

  • hmm, not that easy.

what strenght excercises can we do so that we're actually able to do this?

  • @melimunchh exercises that revolve around upper body strength like crunches, would help stengthen your core, and exercises such as standing up and lifting your leg in the air and holding for 10 seconds each could strengthen your flexors and quadriceps

  • What is that music?

  • will every time hurt your rists and hips

  • @TamezHimself Not everytime....as you strengthen your wrists and hips, it will get a lot easier.

  • it works!!!!!

  • natcomber13 tutorial is better

  • okay. i have really long legs, is that going to be a problem with trying to come up. and is the muscle in you leg suppose to tighten up?? and how strong do my arms need to be?

  • @GeorgiaB66 Long legs won't be a problem as long as you are pushing your hips up and spreading your legs out simultaniously.

  • @dancelife450 okay thanks :)

if i just doing this, i'll eventually get it?? cause i really hope so

  • @GeorgiaB66 It all really depends on the person, but if you work hard to get it, the shorter the time will be

  • thanks a lot i really need to get this

  • @gymnastlol295 You're welcome!

  • it really did help!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bribennet thanks!

  • i can do every thing until the handstand part because i cant really push off the ground... help please...

  • @dubbbbblelosers Can you make it more detailed because I don't seem to understand....maybe you just need to practice on the wall lifting your legs up into a handstand.

  • @coastalhawaii

1.You can do either way on the beam 2.You have to keep practicing, if you cant do it try doing it on the wall

  • you need really strong abs to be able to do this...

  • check out that orbe on your leg at 2:21...lol

  • Can anyone tell me the song?

Anyways this move is hard I jus can't shift my weight onto my armsany suggestions thx!

  • yay i know how to do a press but not that good so thank you!

  • How do you push up?

  • @ForevaMeh10 You don't really "push up" you usually put your arms straight in front of you and go straight forward onto them, BUT if yous till have a question I will be happy to answer

  • Hey guys, I notice that the video is a little bit messed up. BUT if you have ANY questions, I will be GLAD to help

    Love

    ~dancelife450.

P.S I will help you strive to get this simple, but complex exercise the easy, most professional way.

  • inspirational & encouraging:)

  • @dynastyacademyida thank you soo much!!!

  • ITS NOT AS EASY AT IT SOUND U KNOW

  • s it possible fr my arms to be to short for this? because it feels weird like when i try to go into a handstand my feet hit the ground

  • @x0hollisterx0365 no it isn't really humanly possible..it may be that you don't rotate your hips enough for them to lift.. so if you have anymore questions i'll be glad to help.

  • everyone keeps telling me it's easy, but I just seem to not have the part of my abs that controls the rising of the body :S any advice???

  • @Askavin In a press handstand, it does feel like that sometimes. Maby if you do a couple situps, it will show what to "feel" in your abdominal muscles.

  • Hey guys I have been getting a lot of comments lately. For now on I will help you as soon as posssible, any questions, comments, or concerns will be replyed. Thanks for watching!

  • @dancelife450 i cant get mysefl in position 1 :(

  • I can lift myself into the straddle, but I cant lift my legs into the handstand position. Any advice for me? And thanks for posting this video! :)

  • @twistybendygymnast you're welcome. Like in the video it deals with leg and hip strength, try working on legexercises such as lifting each leg (standing or sitting preferably standing) in a max 90 degree angle and hold for 20 seconds. Also work on the hip exercises named in the video. Hoped i helped!!

  • i hope this helps! ive been trying to do one for a while but i just cant do it!!

  • @commamomma I really do hope it helps, it won't magically let you do it though, you have to work for it and have effort and confidence. The exercises in the video WILL HELP you get your straddle handstand.

  • i wish it was an actual tutorial

  • @gymnastyie it is an actual tutorial

  • ew. no.

  • @xxfleuriexx ???

  • I'm working on doing a straddle press handstand and it's very hard, IT TAKES A LOT PRACTICE!

  • any more tips to help strengthen your muscles because i really need tips!

  • @theblondecrew yes sure, leg lifts, push ups, straddle press downs and stretchng, message me for more info.

  • dude i can't even lift myself off the ground.. i've been cheerleading for 5 years but can't even lift myself off the ground, fml ehh

  • ive been dancing 12 and pom dancing 7 (which requires the most core and arm strength) and i cant even do it... yet

  • @jessicapugh01 This exercise requires MUCH strength. especially in the upper and lower extremities. your core is the basis of lifting yourself, crunches, and situps are really good exercises to strengthen your abdominal muscles. Your hip flexors are important to be very strong because they enable the legs to lift off the air. I didn;t exactly gice exercises in the video for hip flexors but things like laying on your back, stretch leg to a straddle, pulsing up and down, could help.

  • i still cant do it the problem is that i can get into the V shape with my hands using all the strenght someone HELP me

  • IT seems like you have a problem with your back strength. DON'T worry! This happens to everyone. In this stage, you are most likely using back AND hip flexors. In hip flexors, you use flexibility and strength in all. You want to rotate your hips upwards so that you can push up. In your back, don't put too much strain on it. This can harm your wrists. Posture is also very important, so instill that you don't lean over too fair because this will will get you nowhere. Lock your shoulders to help.

  • okay i will try

  • okay!! Have fun with it!

  • QUE PODRIDÃO!

    BANDO DE IDIOTAS

  • you have to have muscule in you aress somach and legs before you do that you can just do it

  • the problem im having is the actual pressing up i dont know which muscles to use

  • @cheznay93 when you press up, you press your hands into the floor, and lift your legs as you rise your hips off the floor, your quadriceps, and your hip flexor's strength is necessary for this to happen, exercises such as lifting your leg as high as you can and holding it for 10 seconds each, and laying on your back, and stretching your legs pulsing them up and down are popular exercises to strengthen both your quads and flexors.

  • watch the only person in the world to spin 8 times on his hands down 3 flights of stairs in less than a min, thats a 2880 youtube hassel handstand to watch

  • can you send me the link? sounds awesome!

  • my arms r 2 short and my legs are to long any advice????? plz iv'e been working on this for YEARS!!!!!!!

  • @peaceislimited

train split first this way the lengths of your legs dont matter

  • thanks ill try that.

  • it looks easy!!!!!!!!! but o triex doinjg it, and i got the handstand, but i cant like put my legs how they r suppose to turn out without falling. any tips?

  • i'v been playing with tuck planches, and pressing to handstands etc for a while now..., and i found it is easier with straight arms...once you have the strength. and it also seems to work your lowemost lats alot.....perhaps then actually raising your hips up.

    ....just a thought.

  • Some of my students really had found it easier. I think that bent arms will build strength to your upper body. Straight arms build up tension in your body. while bent arms won't. I do agree with you once you have the strength to do it.

  • yah i agree, its defo easier with bent arms at first, because by bending your arms, ou can act as a pivot to lift your hips.....where as with straight arms, it using muscles ina nd around your shoulder to rotate, which most people have to build up alot first, before using straight arms.

  • What's a good exersise for hip flexor's?
