  • Those are shoreliner cars.

  • Old girl showing the P32 how it's done. Love it!

  • its not far in my knowlede but does that fl9 have a 3rd rail shoe(daul mode operated)

  • It looks like it retained the shoe bar on the rear truck but I believe all of these have been made inacapable of 3rd rail at this point.

  • That looks like an FL9 I used to see often in Dover Plains when I was kid.

  • it's not illegal to take pictures of trains. some MTA police will still give you a hard time, but it is completely legal to photograph the equipment.

  • not to the Jackass security guards in stamford, CT

  • Legal in Philadelphia too kinda but then SEPTA hates it because they think anyone with a camera out in or on their stations is a terrorist taking pictures of things to bomb.

  • They're still using FL9's on the Maine Eastern line.

  • This was the last Metro North painted FL-9 running at the time, and didn't have too much longer in service. Why put new decals on a unit that has its days numbered...

  • Why do they still have the old logo on the FL9

  • cuz fl9s are awesome

  • gotta love f-7's, er, they LOOK LIKE f-7's to me... >_>

  • its called an FL-9

  • The 2008 has officially been retired as of Late April 2007 - so be glad you got it while you did. Next time try a fence filter.

  • Does anyone know if any of the rebuilt (ABB Traction) high horsepower "Starship" units escaped the scrappers torch?.

  • ALL FL9ACs including the LIRRs were cut up.

  • So what model is this? do i have the wrong model? At the time I took this i only knew of FL9s and nothing about F10s. Thanks

  • No, this is an FL-9. There are also FL-9m's and FL-9AC's. The question above was about the ABB rebuilds (FL-9AC's).

  • @nhlives nope thats a FL-9 the rear truck has 3 axles and the front has 2

  • Where is the R & R sign for??

  • Because you can cross the tracks there to get back inside the indoor part of the museum

  • And where was THIS?

Cuz I was on 2008 in Waterbury early this month, and the HEP was shut off due to a radiator leak, so after it landed in Bridgeport, they went OOS to NH yard...

Glad to see it's still running. :)

  • This was at the Danbury RR Museum. I just so happend to be up in CT that weekend and said hey lets go there.
