@omegavalerius Not being from the UK I had no idea who Hitchens is. However, I did a bit of research and read a blog post by Peter Hitchens. Is that who you were referring to? Having only read a single post (long though it was), I won't try to do a critique of Mr. Hitchens, except to say that based on what I read, Mr. Hari seems to say things in a simpler and more direct way. I like that about him.

Johann Hari is a typical left wing lunatic that prefers to attack the people who talk about immigration, rather than try to get to grips with the issue himself. Hari is a compulsive liar. I sent him a letter several times and he never responded. He says he likes to expose misinformation. He wrote an appalling book review of Naomi Klein's appalling book Disaster Capitalism. I responded in detail, debunking everything she said and I asked him to clarify the matter, admitting his errors and putting them right. No response. He is a left wing lunatic.  He is a wannabee intellectual, but unfortunately, he has no brain

He condemns the Tories for their European alliance, yet he appeared at a 'Progressive' London conference earlier this year, sharing a platform with several militant Islamists who wish to see the destruction of the State of Israel. The man is appalling. He never left the student debating rooms. His columns consist of feigned, self righteous and pompous anger directed at the rationalists he claims to praise. He dismisses climate change sceptics as 'deniers.' He builds up a straw man, and can't even hit that accurately. He is a pseudo-intellectual, a pillock pretending to be smarter than he is. He is also a very poor writer. His prose is turgid, and he is not very perspicacious. In other words, a tosser.
