Baxter, you obviously bought moments of magic to those who were suffering, something only a dog can bring. I will always have a place in my heart for dogs, especially those who are abused and neglected around the world. Baxter, I know you bring peace to them.
Baxter's life inspires me. I am so thankful for all the creatures G-d has surrounded us with, that Bless as in theses amazing ways. May we be wise enough to not be to reasonable to see G-d's beautiful ways.

I have two cocker spaniels named Summer and Silvia now who fill so many voids. Before them, I had a cocker named Samantha who in her ten years of life, was my only family. She got ill and in one week I spent $10,000 on my lowly teacher's salary and she still passed on. I can't recall ever crying as much as I did then and still miss her. -Steve
I lost my oldest lovebird this spring. He blessed my life for almost 19 years and I cried like a baby when he died. I feel sorry for people who can't find it in their heart to bond with an animal. Such a relationship is truly special.
@thepenrev I love all animals...but yes especially dogs...I have 2 and I know how it hurts when you have to let 1 go...they live forever in our heart and they are all different and we love them all differently...thank you for making this tribute to a dog that was very special to so many people. :)
