Richard Wright was my favorite keyboardist, and I consider it an honor and a privilege to have seen him play live.

But this version of this song...%&$# me...where else could it go? This to me is the ultimate version of Echoes. It can go no further.

Rest in Peace Richard Wright, we all miss you. I can hear his voice in my head when I sing Pink Floyd songs, I can clearly hear it in this song, very distinguishable. Kills me every time to see Jimi's guitar strap on Blackie. I mean, the strap that held the guitar on which 'THE man' played Voodoo Chile now holds the guitar on which 'The other man' recorded Comfortably Numb, on which Echoes from Pompeii was played (and many, many, many more). That is one iconic piece of rock history there.

I have never known anyone to say a bad word about David Gilmour except in relation to his difficulties with Roger Waters - fortunately seemingly now resolved. Throughout his life and career, David Gilmour has kept his head and has never compromised his integrity as a musician, a person, a gentleman and a humanitarian.
