The best way I've found to remove clumps while applying mascara and after is using a clean old mascara wand. I've kept my l'oreal telescopic clean definition brush after using the mascara, washed and brushed it clean and use it to comb through my lashes...it's amazing!

you would benefit from eyelash tinting, because your tips are light of your lashes, tinting would make the tips darker and mascara when it wears off a little or if you dont apply much, they look fuller and black! :)

i have both this mascara, and the XXL volume one, and the microfibers are in step one. There not in the regualur mascara.

i got the xxl pro volume and i HATE it

i like the old one better, i got it for my mom and i loved how my lashes looked, so i got this one cause i thought it was gonna be even better but i HATE it

my lashes look broken at the tips and they go all over the place and there's gaps too

@twinchipuppy I have had no other complaints about my camera failing to focus. I do post photos at the end of every video so that you can get a closer look at the item I reviewed.

Great review, I wear glasses too and find if I use a lengthening mascara my lashes hit my glasses....could you recommend a good volumising and seperating mascara? I like the sonya kashuk comb but I don't think we can get it in the UK

If you can get access to it (Im not sure that it's available in the states) you should give No7's extreme length mascara a go - honestly the most lengthening mascara I've ever used! And it has a bendy plastic wand :P if you can get it, it's worth a try - it's not too pricey.. maybe £5-7 for the full size? :) xx

@mikeymay972 That's a good question and I'm sorry I forgot to go over that in the video. Maybelline suggests to apply the mascara before the primer tries. I've tried it that way and once the primer is dry and I've found it works best to apply the mascara before the primer dries otherwise the mascara clumps.

i have the intense volume. the one that volumizes your lashes by 7x. it works good! i like dramatic lashes, and these work! the formula is really dark black too, plus it does not clump!! :)

i paid $9 for this last week & i honestly wasn't impressed whatsoever. i mean, my lashes looked great & it didn't clump or anything, but it definitely didn't make my lashes 85% longer as it claimed on the package. i dunno, maybe i just expected too much outta it. i do like the primer, though. (:

i used to use this in 8th and 9th grade (im currently a junior in h/s), after using lash blast, and colosal it just doesnt do much for me anymore but its good for a more natural look but i love big dramatic lashes

Thanks for the great review! Thanks also for mentioning that this mascara had good 'lift'. My lashes are pretty long, but you can't even tell that they are because they are SO darn straight, and most mascaras just weigh down my lashes even more. *sigh* the quest for the perfect mascara never ends! :)

I use the black mascara side just as a regular mascara and it works great as an everyday mascara. Really defines and separates my lashes! Never use the primer side; it just feels like an unnecessary extra step and most of the time I can't be bothered.
