The stairs work almost completely as shown, but i have one slight issue i dont understand. I made the entire system exactly as you showed it, and i gave it a final test. The last piston, at the very end, which uses the redstone torch from the right side as power, will not be pulled back by the piston when i active the stairs. Basically, the fake ground is perfect, but when i flip the switch to reveal the stairs, there is a piston stuck at the bottom of the staircase.

@lethrington nvm, i fixed it. mate you sure are right about that timing. one click off and the entire system gets messed up

on the first steps i completely fail in the middle of the repeaters the redstone doesnt go to 2 repeaters it splits into 3

@CNBMinecraft I noticed, I had been using it as a reference for a bigger project recently but I couldn't find it on your page so I googled it comes up there but says This video has been removed as a violation of YouTube's policy against spam, scams, and commercially deceptive content. Which didn't make much sense. The google also returned the map DL so I just downloaded it and took screen shots. hope it's not some pre-emptive SOPA attack.

Instead of the buttons could you use pressure plates? kinda like a security thing?

@TheBosnianMafia You can use any kind of input... even a BUD switch, if you don't know what that is I think there are youtube videos on it.

@mandm2755 Hey, All you need is a Tflip-flop :) It's not a switch, it's a button for this but it's much better. Go look it up

Since 1.8.1, the block swapper here works perfectly in SP still, but fails 9/10 times for me on my server (and friends server). it seems that the lag time messes with the timing and will miss a couple blocks. making the stairs impassable. i can give you the server address, but if you're pressed for time, i just need help figuring out how to elongate the timings to account for the lag. THANKS! Great tutorials!
