Could this be used to generate energy in a home or community? Some communities have received grants to go 'green'. Does this type of energy apply or could it offset other green energies?
Nice Presentation. Could you please, tell me where you sourced that piezoelectric crystal? I am working on similar project and have not been able to come across a crystal that big. The ones I got were about 2 inches diameter or less but what you demonstrated here is just about right for my project. Thanks in advance..
It sounds like a strange combination: crystals, water, and noise pollution. But scientists at the University of Wisconsin-Madison have discovered that the mix can efficiently produce hydrogen without the need for a dirty catalyst like oil. By submerging a new type of PIEZO crystal in water, the scientists claim to be able to harvest hydrogen using vibrations from passing traffic and crashing waves.
